Police Blotter: Son Attacks His Mother

Assistant principal at Haverford High School witnessed a possible drug deal.

INCIDENTS:

Vandalism at the Holly House (unit block of W. Eagle Road) on 2/23 at 9:32 a.m. — Property manager reported that an unknown person spread honey and broke eggs all over the front steps and lobby. Honey was also spread on the manager’s office door and in the locks.

Narcotics at the Haverford Senior High School on 2/23 at 2:26 p.m. — Assistant principal notified police that he observed two students acting suspicious and it appeared that they discretely exchanged something. A locker search was conducted by the principal and a small container was observed with what appeared to be peanut butter laced with marijuana. A 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of small amount and marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft at the Oakmont Pub (unit block of E. Eagle Road) on 2/24 at 2:17 p.m. — The pub owner reported that two patrons skipped out without paying their bar tab and one of them stole an employee’s iPhone. Officer's were able to identify the suspect stealing the cell phone on the surveillance video. Anthony Raffaele, 41, unit block of W. Eagle Road was cited for theft of services and Christopher Bradley was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft of services.    

Theft at Bryn Mawr Terrace (700 block of Haverford Road) on 2/24 at 3:58 p.m. — Cash was stolen from the victim’s purse. The purse was in her dresser drawer in her bedroom.

Burglary at the 700 block of Cricket Avenue on 2/25 at 8:59 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person forced open his back door. The suspect went into the victim's bedroom and went through his dresser drawers.

Burglary at the 700 block of Cricket Avenue on 2/25 at 11:09 p.m. — An unknown person forced his or her way into the residence through a locked window. Jewelry was stolen from a jewelry box and all of the dresses had been rifled through.

Theft at the 100 block of Mill Road on 2/25 at 2:47 a.m. — Victim reported that she observed a male inside her vehicle without her permission. The victim yelled to the subject and he fled.     

Criminal Mischief at the 600 block of Haverford Road on 2/25 at 1:47 p.m. — Two tires were slashed on the victim's vehicle.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 2/26 at 8:40 p.m. — Jessica Holt, 21, 2400 block of Dermond Avenue, was cited for the retail theft of $112 worth of merchandise.

Criminal Mischief at the 800 block of Lawson Avenue on 2/26 at 3:41 p.m. — Fence was damaged.

Vandalism at the 200 block of Washington Avenue on 2/26 at 8:25 p.m. — Residence was egged.

Theft at the 200 block of Foster Avenue on 2/27 at 12:11 p.m. — Victim reported that someone took a box containing exercise equipment off of his front porch.

Simple Assault at Wynmoor Apartments (100 block of S. Eagle Road) on 2/27 at 8:50 p.m. — Officers were dispatched for a domestic. The victim reported that she was in a verbal argument with her son and it escalated into her son punching her in the arm and then chasing her into her bedroom. The victim's son, Joseph Horst, punched the bedroom door, making a hole in it and then punched the TV causing an ornamental globe to break, which struck the victim's mouth. Joseph William Horst was arrested.

Vandalism at the 200 block of Mill Road on 2/27 at 4:36 p.m. — Unknown juveniles knocked down a temporary fence that had been put up around the baseball field. 

Narcotics at West Chester Pike and Eagle Road on 2/27 at 12:27 a.m. — While conducting a vehicle stop the officer observed the driver reach over to the passenger seat attempting to conceal something. The officer searched the vehicle and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The 17-year-old male driver was arrested.

Burglary at the 2800 block of Oakford Road on 2/28 at 6:57 p.m. — The victim returned home from vacation and discovered all of the drawers in the bedrooms were open as well as the closets. The attic door was also removed. Nothing was stolen and the point of entry and exit could not be determined. 

Fraud at the 1500 block of Fairview Road on 2/28 at 5:15 p.m. — An unknown person made multiple purchases with the victim's debit card without her permission or knowledge.

Vandalism at Orsini's Collision Service (1500 block of Haverford Road) on 2/28 at 6:45 a.m. — The owner discovered graffiti on the building.

Fraud at the 800 block of Valley Road on 3/1 at 7:58 p.m. — Victim reported that an unauthorized person gained access into her e-mail account and sent an e-mail to her credit union requesting a transfer. The credit union contacted the victim and she cancelled the transaction.

Identity Theft at 1300 block of Maryland Avenue on 3/1 at 9:07 a.m. — Victim reported that she was notified by the IRS that someone else claimed her child on their taxes.

Narcotics at the 100 block of West Chester Pike on 3/1 at 2:15 p.m. — While conducting a vehicle stop officers observed the driver reach under his seat and throw something out the window. The bag contained cocaine and was recovered. Carlo Triboletti and Michael Wilusz were arrested and charged.
