Police Blotter: Mother Throws Radio At Daughter

INCIDENTS:

Theft at Westgate Park (300 block of Oxford Hill Lane) on 4/4 at 11:54 a.m. — skateboard was stolen.

Vandalism at the 1100 block of Garfield Avenue on 4/4 at 7:35 a.m. — vehicle window was smashed and the trunk was damaged.

Vandalism at Manoa Beverage (1100 block of West Chester Pike) on 4/4 at 10:19 a.m. — a window on a delivery truck was smashed.

Theft at the 200 block of Canterbury Road on 4/5 at 5:10 p.m — GPS and three bags of mulch were stolen from the victim's driveway.

Theft at the 1600 block of Earlington Road on 4/5 at 6:59 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — vehicle registration, CD's and makeup were stolen.

Vandalism at the Grange Estate (700 block of Grove Place) on 4/5 at 12:52 a.m. — graffiti was observed on trees.

Liquor Law Violations at the Grange Field (800 block of Myrtle Avenue) on 4/5 at 9:24 p.m. — While conducting a park check officers observed three males exit a wooded area. Devin Cole, 18, 1600 block of Earlington Road, was intoxicated and cited for underage drinking. Thomas MsNasby, 18, 1100 block of Garfield Avenue, was in possession of beer and cited. Michael Reeder, 18, 200 block of Glen Arbor Road, was cited for Township Park ordinance.

Theft at Verizon (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 4/6 at 4:35 p.m. — an unknown person removed an iPhone 4 from the display and replaced it with his iPhone with a broken screen.

Theft at the unit block of Woodbine Road on 4/6 at 1:02 p.m. — Two unlocked vehicles were entered — loose change was stolen.

Simple Assault at the 300 block of Fairlamb Avenue on 4/6 at 11:39 p.m. — Police were dispatched to the above residence for a domestic in progress. Upon arrival the juvenile daughter reported that her mother, Carolyn Dibona, hit her and her sister with a closed fist when they told their mother to go to bed due to her intoxication. As the victim attempted to dial 911, Dibona threw a radio at the back of her head. Dibona was arrested and charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and harassment.

Fraud at the 600 block of Ardmore Avenue on 4/6 at 11:22 a.m. — Multiple purchases were made with the victim's credit card without his permission or knowledge.

Theft of Services at Westgate Hills Rehabilitation (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 4/6 at 10:04 p.m. — An intoxicated male refused to pay his cab fare. Vincent Vitale, 43, unit block of Chester Pike, Ridley Park, was cited for theft of services, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Theft at the 1400 block of Johnson Road on 4/7 at 1206 p.m. — Victim reported that three plants were dug up and removed from the side of her residence. Clay pots and potting soil were also taken from a storage cabinet.

Vandalism at SamPan Inn (unit block of Brookline Boulevard) on 4/7 at 7:30 a.m. — While on patrol the officer observed a small hole surrounded by a large web-like fracture on the restaurant window.

Simple Assault at the 300 block of Shelbourne Road on 4/7 at 7:22 p.m. — The victim reported that her neighbor threatened her and threw a pitchfork in her yard. Police located the subject, Michael Richards, at the Manoa Shopping Center. Richards was in possession of a steak knife and two folding knives and was arrested and charged.

Vandalism at the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Avenue on 4/8 at 1:14 p.m. — vehicle hood was dented.

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 4/9 at 11:54 p.m. — Victim reported that someone stole her credit cards from her unattended purse. Approximately $500 worth of merchandise was purchased using the credit cards.  

Burglary at the unit block of St. Denis Lane on 4/10 at 3:38 p.m. — Victim reported she was in the process of moving and her residence was left unoccupied and unlocked for two weeks. Two ceiling fans, air conditioner, lamp, grill and many other home goods were stolen from the residence. 

Theft at the 400 block of Wynne Avenue on 4/10 at 8:27 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — two GPS's, two cell phones, three chargers and loose change were stolen.

Theft at the unit block of E. Marthart Avenue on 4/10 at 7:53 p.m. — Victim reported that 13 video games were missing from his home.

Theft at the 600 block of Ashurst Road on 4/10 at 12:50 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at John Luke Plumbing (100 block of W. Eagle Road) on 4/10 at 9:55 a.m. — an unknown person removed scrap metal from the side of the business.
