Police Blotter: Man Claims To Be Cop, Request Money For Bail

INCIDENTS:

Theft at the 2500 block of Hirst Terrace on 4/11 at 8:12 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — GPS and power cord was stolen.

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 4/11 at 2:01 p.m. — unattended laptop was stolen.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 4/11 at 5:29 p.m. — A white 14-year-old female was cited for the retail theft of $44 worth of merchandise and a black 14-year-old female was cited for the retail theft of $99 worth of merchandise.

Theft at the 1900 block of Robinson Avenue on 4/12 at 10:47 a.m. — unlocked vehicle was entered — GPS and loose change was stolen.

Theft at the unit block of Kathmere Road on 4/12 at 5:58 p.m. — garden hose was stolen.

Theft at the unit block of Foster Road on 4/12 at 10:23 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — cell phone and loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 200 block of Foster Road on 4/13 at 10:45 a.m. — Hammer was stolen from the bed of the victim's truck.

Identity Theft at the unit block of Craig Lane on 4/13 at 1:42 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person opened a credit card account and made numerous purchases using her identity without her permission or knowledge.

Vandalism at the 700 block of Hathaway Lane on 4/13 at 9:07 p.m. — residence was egged.

Liquor Law Violation at the Grange Field (800 block of Myrtle Avenue) on 4/13 at 9:17 p.m. — While conducting a detail police observed three juveniles standing in the dark. Officers observed beer cans next to the group. A white 15-year-old female was cited for underage drinking and park violations and a white 14-year-old female and a white 14-year-old male were cited for park violation.

Theft at Fabulous Finds (unit block of Brookline Boulevard) on 4/14 at 11:16 a.m. — sign was removed from the above business.

Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul (unit block of E. Township Line Road) on 4/14 at 11:23 a.m.

Public Drunkenness at the 100 block of S. Manoa Road on 4/14 at 12:57 a.m. —  George Conaghan, 41, 1400 block of Steel Road and Kelly Conaghan, 39, were cited for public drunkenness.  

Theft at LA Fitness (400 block of West Chester Pike) on 4/15 at 1:37 p.m. — Vehicle was forced open — a purse containing a wallet, sunglasses, gift cards and credit cards was stolen.

Bicycle Theft at the 300 block of Bewley Road on 4/15 at 12:31 p.m.

Vandalism at the 300 block of Mill Road on 4/15 at 8:58 a.m. — residence was egged.         

Theft at the 200 block of David Drive on 4/16 at 12:29 p.m. — Jewelry was reported missing from the above residence.

Fraud at the 3300 block of Darby Road on 4/16 at 7:05 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person claimed he was a police officer and had her grandson in custody due to a drug arrest. The subject requested money wired via western union for her grandchild to be released. 

Robbery at the 800 block of West Chester Pike on 4/17 at 10:29 p.m. — Victim reported that a black male tried to grab his bicycle. The victim struggled with the subject and the subject stole his iPhone. Police conducted a pedestrian stop of a subject matching the description and located the iPhone. Marlow Crawford was arrested and charged.

Burglary (forced entry) at the 400 block of Ellis Road on 4/17 at 4:22 p.m. — All interior doors were opened and items were strewn about on the floor. Two flat screen televisions and over $300 were reported missing.

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 4/17 at 10:35 a.m. — Unlocked dorm room was entered when the victim was in the shower and his laptop was stolen.

Vandalism at the 2000 block of Belvedere Avenue on 4/17 at 7:16 a.m. — Vehicle windshield was cracked.
