Police Blotter: Gang of Juveniles Attack 2 Teens

INCIDENTS:

Theft at the 500 block of Kathmere Road on 5/9 at 10:18 a.m. — Victim reported that the bike carrier was stolen from the back of her vehicle.

Theft at the 800 block of N. Eagle Road on 5/9 at 8 p.m. — The construction crew discovered a drill and 15 steel poles were missing.

Theft at the unit block of E. Park Road on 5/9 at 2:42 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at Llanerch Quarry Construction Site (100 block of W. Township Line Road) on 5/10 at 5:56 a.m. — Two chop saws and a chainsaw was stolen.

Theft at the 1300 block of Dermond Road on 5/10 at 7:52 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — Wallet containing credit cards was stolen.

Theft at the 100 block of Hampstead Road on 5/10 at 8:45 a.m. — Vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Fraud at the 500 block of Mill Road on 5/10 at 4:04 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person opened an AT& T account using her identity.

Vandalism at the unit block of Fairfield Road on 5/10 at 5:04 p.m. — Two tires were punctured on the victim's vehicle.

Burglary (forced entry) at the 500 block of Country Club Lane on 5/13 at 1:31 p.m. — residence was entered and a change purse containing $600 was stolen.

Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/13 at 1:31 p.m. — Vehicle window was smashed in and an iPod was stolen.

Theft at the unit block of E. Golf View Road on 5/11 at 7:51 p.m. — 13 solar-powered lights were stolen from the front of the victim's residence.

Theft at the 300 block of Greenview Lane on 5/12 at 3:07 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person made two purchases using her checking account without her permission or knowledge.

Theft at the 200 block of E. Township Line Road on 5/11 at 7:36 p.m. — Victim reported that her brown and white pitbull was taken from her backyard.

Narcotics at LA Fitness (400 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/11 at 8:32 p.m. — While on patrol police observed two white juvenile males involved in a hand-to-hand drug transaction. A 15-year-old male fled when approached by police. They gave chase and took him into custody at his residence. A 17-year-old male admitted to buying marijuana from the other subject. Both juveniles were arrested and charged.

Simple Assault at Chestnutwold Elementary (600 block of Loraine Street) on 5/12 at 7:36 p.m. — Two white juvenile males reported that a group of 15 to 20 juveniles approached them while they were playing on the playground. The subjects yelled profanities and punched the victims until they fell to the ground.

Simple Assault at the 2400 block of Poplar Road on 5/12 at 10:37 p.m. — Juvenile victim reported that he was assaulted by a group of 7 black males after exiting the St. Denis Fair.

Vandalism at the 1700 block of Academy Lane on 5/13 at 7:36 a.m. — Two vehicles were egged.

Vandalism at the 1700 block of Academy Lane on 5/13 at 10:27 a.m. — Vehicle was egged.

Vandalism at the 100 block of E. Benedict Avenue on 5/13 at 2:08 a.m. — Residence was egged.

Liquor Law Violation at the 400 block of W. Langhorne Avenue on 5/11 at 11:34 p.m. — While conducting a search of the residence for a drug suspect police located several juveniles in possession of alcoholic beverages. A white 16-year-old male, three 16-year-old white females, three white 17-year-old males and four 17-year-old white females were cited for underage drinking.  

Disorderly Conduct at CVS (unit block of W. Eagle Road) on 5/13 at 7:02 p.m. — While on patrol, officers observed David Pratt, urinating in the parking lot. Pratt, 3600 block of Wallace Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited for disorderly conduct.

Attempted Burglary at the 400 block of Mill Road on 5/14 at 2:31 p.m. — Police were dispatched to the above residence for an audible alarm. Upon arrival police discovered a basement window was kicked in. It does not appear that entry was gained and nothing was reported missing.

Theft at the 100 block of E. Westwood Park Drive on 5/14 at 3:20 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — GPS, iPod touch and a wallet containing a drivers license and credit cards.

Theft at the 300 block of E. Golf View Road on 5/14 at 7:49 a.m. — A construction manager reported 100 steel bearing plates were stolen from the lot.

Theft at the 600 block of Willowbrook Road on 5/14 at 6:21 a.m. — Two unlocked vehicles were entered — iPod and social security card were taken.

Theft at the 600 block of Willowbrook Road on 5/14 at 6:46 a.m. — Two unlocked vehicles were entered — cologne was stolen.

Theft at the 300 block of Greenview Lane on 5/14 at 8:10 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Attempted Theft at the 500 block of Willowbrook Road on 5/14 at 9:46 a.m. — Victim reported that he discovered the rear utility doors open on his truck. Nothing was reported missing.  

Identity theft at the 600 block of Dayton Road on 5/14 at 3:09 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person filed a fraudulent tax return using her identity.

Burglary at the unit block of Harvard Road on 5/15 at 7:02 p.m. — Victim reported that she discovered jewelry missing from her jewelry box. A witness reported seeing a female walking towards the victim's backyard at the time of the theft.

Public Drunkenness at the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on 5/15 at 12:43 a.m. — Police were dispatched for an unwanted subject in the store. Upon arrival police observed the male stumbling down the street. Joshua Stewart, 27, 1400 block of S. 58th Street, Philadelphia, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
