Police Blotter: Father Pulls Wife Out Of Wheelchair, Attacks Son

INCIDENTS:

Robbery at the Alliance Bank (500 block of E. Township Line Road) on 11/23 at 3:44 p.m. — An older white male entered that bank and handed the bank teller a note demanding money. The subject stated that he had a gun. The male took the money and fled. (Editor’s note: To read more about it, .)

Vandalism at the Westgate Pub (1000 block of West Chester Pike) on 11/23 at 11:55 p.m. — Garden planter was damaged.

Drug Equipment Violations at the 500 block of Country Club Lane on 11/23 at 6:55 p.m. — Officer's responded to the above location for a subject in violation of a P.F.A. During a search incident to arrest the officer located several items of drug paraphernalia. Kevin Murphy was arrested and charged.

Liquor Law Violation at the 200 block of Mill Road on 11/23 at 9:27 p.m. —A white 17-year-old female was visibly intoxicated at a school dance and was cited for underage drinking.

Aggravated Assault at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on 11/23 at 1:03 a.m. — Officers were dispatched for an unruly subject that returned to the bar after being thrown out. While officers were taking Bryan Vaughn into custody for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct Karan Frazier attacked them. Frazier violently resisted arrest by swinging his arms and refusing to calm down. Frazier was in possession of prescription pills and was arrested and charged. Vaughn, 23, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, was cited. 

Disorderly Conduct at the unit block of W. Eagle Road on 11/23 at 10:20 a.m. — While on patrol an officer observed a vehicle illegally pass another vehicle. Both vehicles stopped in the middle of the roadway and began to yell at each other.  Charles Goodman, 65, 1600 block of Surrey Lane and Philip Parker, 55, 500 block of Westtown Circle, West Chester, were cited for disorderly conduct.

Aggravated Assault at the 300 block of E. Hathaway Lane on 11/26 at 7:44 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to the above residence for a domestic assault. Samuel Mantegna pulled his wife's arm causing her to fall out of her wheel chair. He then threatened to kill his son when he attempted to help his wife back into her chair. He choked him and punched him in the chest. Officers observed red marks and bruising around his neck. Mantegna was arrested and charged.

Theft at MacCarty & Sons Awnings (800 block of Railroad Avenue) on 11/26 at 12:55 p.m. — Ten pieces of pipe with awning fittings were stolen from the business.

Disorderly Conduct at the unit block of Shelbourne Road on 11/26 at 8:21 a.m. — Officers responded to the above location for a highly intoxicated subject causing a disturbance. Tracey Wood reported to work as a home care nurse intoxicated and belligerent. Wood, 42, 600 block of N. Peach Street, Philadelphia, was cited for disorderly conduct.

Theft at J.D. McGillicuddy's (unit block of Brookline Boulevard) on 11/27 at 4:39 p.m. — A cell phone was stolen from the bar.

Simple Assault at the unit block of Braeburn Road on 11/27 at 11:43 a.m. — Officer's were dispatched for a domestic assault that occurred the previous night. The victim reported that her boyfriend pushed and punched her on her arms, head and back. Officers observed bruising on the victim. Warrant was issued for the arrest of the suspect. 

Vandalism at the 100 block of Brentwood Road on 11/27 at 10:36 p.m. — A vehicle’s tires were flattened.

Vandalism at the unit block of Blackburn Road on 11/27 at 2:04 p.m. — A vehicle was keyed.

Narcotics at the 900 block of West Chester Pike on 11/27 at 10:57 p.m. — While conducting a vehicle stop it was discovered the driver had a suspended driver's license. The passenger, Amber Sandone, was in possession of drug paraphernalia and cocaine. Sandone was arrested and charged. 

Public Drunkenness at Eagle Road and Sunny Hill Lane on 11/27 at 1:40 a.m. — Officers observed a white male stumbling in the middle of the street. Eric Travis, 38, 1600 block of Mount Pleasant Road, was highly intoxicated and was cited for public drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness at the 800 block of Humphreys Street on 11/27 at 10:42 hours — Richard Finnerty, 34, 600 block of Woodcrest Avenue, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.    

Theft at the 100 block of County Line Road on 11/28 at 9:07 a.m. — Jewelry and silverware were taken from the residence. 

Theft at Westgate Hills Rehabilitation (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 11/28 at 2:50 p.m. — Three residents reported that money and DVDs were stolen from their rooms.

Theft at Super Fresh (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 11/28 at 7:49 p.m. — An employee reported that money was stolen from her purse when she left it unattended in an office.

Theft at the 1400 block of Delmont Avenue on 11/28 at 1:52 p.m. — A ladder was stolen from the residence and was later recovered in a nearby yard.

Vandalism at the 2600 block of Haverford Road on 11/28 at 9:47 a.m. — Graffiti was reported.

Vandalism at the 1700 block of Karakung Drive on 11/28 at 10:46 a.m. — While on patrol an officer observed graffiti on a Penn Dot Bridge. 

Vandalism at the unit block of Media Road on 11/28 at 10:19 p.m. — The victim witnessed four juveniles smash the windshield of his vehicle.

Burglary at the unit block of Bambi Lane on 11/29 at 12:50 p.m. — Victim reported that her burglar alarm was activated and the rear sliding door was ajar. Nothing was reported missing.

Theft at Main Line Health and Fitness (900 block of Haverford Road) on 11/29 at 7:46 p.m. — Vehicle window was shattered — purse was stolen.

Drug Equipment Violations at the 2500 block of Township Line Road on 11/29 at 10:43 p.m. — While conducting a vehicle stop the officer observed marijuana rolling papers in the vehicle. Seward Blackwood was arrested and charged.
