Police Blotter: Driver Found With Different Drug Prescriptions

And a young man was cited for public drunkenness after literally running into the hood of a police car.

The following information comes from the Haverford Township Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

INCIDENTS:

Theft at Saint Raphaela Center (600 block of Coopertown Road) on 6/1 at 11:29 a.m. — A witness observed Rodrego Calderon remove copper roofing material from a van and hide it behind the building. Calderon was arrested and charged.

Vandalism at Chatham Glen Park (200 block of Juniper Road) on 6/1 at 9:21 p.m.  — Graffiti was found on the picnic bench.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 6/2 at 6:55 p.m.  — A black male stole sunglasses and a watch and fled the store.

Theft at the 500 block of West Chester Pike on 6/2 at 1:42 p.m.  — Unsecured vehicle was entered  and a purse containing a wallet, driver's license, insurance card and cash were stolen.

Theft at the Quadrangle (3300 block of Darby Road) on 6/2 at 9:20 p.m.  — $100 was stolen from the victim's room.

Vandalism at the 1000 block of Larchmont Avenue on 6/2 at 3:12 p.m.  — A house address sign was broken.

Theft at Brendan's Collision (200 block of W. Hillcrest Avenue) on 6/3 at 9:05 a.m.  — Victim reported that jewelry was missing from her secured vehicle while it was in the impound lot.

Fraud at the 2400 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue on 6/3 at 9:33 a.m.  — An unknown person attempted to make four purchases using her debit card number.

Narcotics at Virginia and Lincoln Avenues on 6/3 at 7:06 p.m.  —   While on patrol officers observed three white males walking on Virginia Avenue. One of the juveniles discarded what appeared to be a burning cigarette when he saw the police cruiser. The officer conducted a pedestrian investigation and could detect the smell of burnt marijuana on the juveniles. One 15-year-old was in possession of marijuana and was arrested. Two 15-year-olds were cited for disorderly conduct.

Disorderly Conduct at the 700 block of Panmure Road on 6/3 at 11:10 p.m.  — Officers were dispatched for loud music. Jonathon Brown, 52, 700 block of Panmure Road, was warned before by the officer to turn down his music. Brown was cited for disorderly conduct.

Bicycle Theft at the unit block of W. Wilmont Avenue on 6/4 at 8:31 p.m.

Motor Vehicle Theft at the 100 block of Golf House Road on 6/4 at 2:42 p.m.  — Victim's vehicle was stolen from his driveway. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were in the car.

Fraud at the unit block of S. Eagle Road on 6/4 at 10 a.m.  — An unauthorized person made purchases using the victim's debit card.

Vandalism at the 200 block of Washington Avenue on 6/4 at 7:02 a.m.  — Vehicle was keyed.

Liquor Law Violation at the 100 block of Yale Road on 6/4 at 7:57 p.m.  — While conducting a foot beat officers observed a group of juveniles in a wooded area. The majority of the group fled. Officers were able to detain four juveniles. A 14-year-old female, 16-year-old female, 15-year-old male and 16-year-old male were cited for underage drinking.

Theft at Darby Road and Mercer Avenue on 6/5 at 1:41 p.m.  — Unlocked vehicle was entered  — purse containing a wallet, credit cards and two cell phones were stolen.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 6/5 at 4:53 p.m  — Kelly Ann Baxter, 30, 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, was cited for the retail theft of $116 worth of merchandise.

Disorderly Conduct at the 300 block of Stanley Avenue on 6/5 at 12:17 a.m.  — Officers were dispatched to the residence for loud party. Officers made the owner aware of the noise ordinance and told him to turn the music down and have his guest go in his house due to the unreasonable amount of noise they were making. The owner, Thomas Fabiani, had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person and displayed bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on his feet. Fabiani began to curse and refused to have his guests go in his residence. Fabiani, 52, 300 block of Stanley Avenue, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Theft at the 600 block of Country Club Lane on 6/6 at 7:54 p.m.  — Officers were contacted by Ridley Police Department to inform the Haverford Township Police Department that a white male sold flatware and jewelry to a jeweler in their Township. Ridley Police contacted the suspect’s mother and she confirmed that the items were stolen from her residence in Haverford Township.

Fraud at the 200 block of Stanley Avenue on 6/6 at 3:51 p.m.  — Victim was contacted by her credit union that an unauthorized person attempted to make a purchase using her account information. The victim then checked her account and discovered that a $120 fraudulent charge was made last month.    

Drugs at the 1800 block of Earlington Road on 6/6 at 9:25 p.m.  — While conducting a vehicle stop officers noticed the driver’s eyes were bloodshot and glazed over. The driver, Justin Blanch, was in possession of two prescriptions for two females from different doctors. Officers also recovered a tin with seven different types of pills. Blanch resisted arrest causing minor cuts to the officers. Justin Blanch was arrested and charged.   

Burglary at the 800 block of Buck Lane on 6/7 at 2:37 p.m.  — An unknown person entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole a purse. 

Theft at the 1300 block of Fairview Road on 6/7 at 10:30 a.m.  — Two vehicles were entered  — a GPS and a charging device were stolen.

Disorderly Conduct at Prescott Road and Hillcrest Avenue on 6/7 at 11:26 p.m.  — While on patrol officers observed a white male running toward their vehicle waving his arms erratically and screaming. The officer stopped his vehicle and the subject ran onto the hood of the police car. After a brief struggle the subject was taken into custody. Stephen Will, 22, 100 block of Decatur Road, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
