Police Blotter: Christmas Eve Burglaries

The following information comes from the Haverford Township Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

INCIDENTS:

Aggravated Assault at the 200 block of Pickwick Road on 12/21 at 10:07 p.m.—Officers responded to the above location for a domestic assault. The victim reported that his son was highly intoxicated and attacked him when he attempted to take alcohol away from him. He hit him on the head with a metal guitar stand causing a laceration. Timothy Maiale was arrested.

Burglary at the 200 block of Pickwick Road on 12/21 at 4:18 p.m.—The reporting party stated that her neighbor's back door was open all day. Upon arrival officers noticed the back door bolt lock was detached from the wall suggesting forced entry. Nothing was reported missing.

Burglary at the 100 block of E. Manoa Road on 12/21 at 9:03 p.m.—The rear kitchen door was forced open - a pillow case and items from the master bedroom were taken.

Retail Theft at Super Fresh (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/21 at 4:37 p.m.—Two white males were observed taking four cases of water.

Criminal Mischief at the 500 block of N. Manoa Road on 12/21 at 4:47 p.m.—Victim reported that a person known to him hammered nails into the tires on his vehicle.

Vandalism at Appliance Repair (700 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/23 at 9:03 a.m.—Verizon lines were cut.

Vandalism at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on 12/23 at 10:07 a.m.—Two tires on the victim's vehicle were slashed.

Liquor Law Violation at the 200 block of Earlington Road on 12/23 at 11:40 a.m.—Two W/M's/15 and a W/M/16 were in possession of beer and cited for underage drinking.

Burglary at the 100 block of Washington Avenue on 12/24 at 9:34 p.m.—Unknown persons forced their way into the residence through a rear door and ransacked two bedrooms and stole jewelry.

Burglary at Internal Medicine Associates (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 12/24 at 11:50 a.m.—Office door was forced open and petty cash was stolen.

Burglary at Dr. Robben's Office (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 12/24 at 11:50 a.m.—Office door was forced open, several cabinets were rifled through, and camera was stolen.

Burglary (forced) at Dr. Cohen's Office (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 12/24 at 11:50 a.m.—Petty cash was stolen.

Burglary at The Hand Center (2000 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/24 at 11:50 a.m.—Office door was forced open - nothing was reported missing.

Burglary at Everest Medical (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 12/24 at 11:50 a.m.—Police observed damage to the office door but it did not appear that entrance was gained.

Burglary at the 100 block of Washington Avenue on 12/24 at 1:34 p.m.—$15 cash was stolen from the victim's residence.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/24 at 6:15 p.m.—Jennifer Pride was arrested for the retail theft of $271 worth of merchandise. While inventorying Pride's property police observed two small clear baggies containing miscellaneous pills.

Theft at the 300 block of Spring Road on 12/24 at 6:47 a.m.—Flag was stolen from the victim's front porch.

Burglary at the 200 block of Glendale Road on 12/25 at 2:04 a.m.—Officer's responded to the above location for a burglary interrupted with a witness chasing the male on foot. Police captured the suspect and it was determined that he was the friend of the victim's son. The son, Timothy Lam, admitted to letting Miles Reihl into the residence so he could rob his parents and they could split the money. Lam and Reihl were arrested and charged.

Theft at the 700 block of Buck Lane on 12/25 at 2:08 p.m.—Two decorative reindeers and ten lighted candy canes were stolen from the victim's front yard.

Vandalism at Wawa (unit block of E. Eagle Road) on 12/25 at 11:43 a.m.—Victim reported that unknown persons unscrewed the oil pin causing oil to be drained from the vehicle.

Burglary at the 100 block of Kathmere Road on 12/27 at 6:01 p.m.—Victim reported that he heard a subject push open his front door and enter his home. When confronted by the homeowner, the actor fled.

Theft at the Quadrangle (3300 block of Darby Road) on 12/27 at 2:37 p.m.—Numerous pieces of jewelry was stolen from the victim's bedroom.

Criminal Mischief at the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue on 12/27 at 1:30 p.m.—Vehicle driver side mirror was broken.

Vandalism at the 700 block of Aubrey Avenue on 12/27 at 11:13 a.m.—Wooden fence was damaged.

Liquor Law Violation at the 800 block of Haverford Road on 12/27 at 2:11 a.m.—Police received a report of a disabled vehicle. It was determined that the driver had a learners permit and was in possession of several cases of beer. Devon Morrissey, W/M/18, 200 block of 1st Avenue, Phoenixville, and was cited for underage drinking and possesion.
