Police Blotter: Brother vs. Brother, Neighbor vs. Neighbor

INCIDENTS:

Aggravated Assault at the Hollow Run Apartments (1900 block of West Chester Pike) on 6/29 at 2:13 p.m. — Officer responded to the location for a 911 hang up. Upon arrival officers heard screaming coming from the apartment. Officers observed two juveniles in a bedroom. A 16-year-old male hit his younger brother over an issue with the TV and then forced him into the bedroom so police wouldn't intervene. The victim reported that his brother often beat him when they were alone and that he feared for his safety. The older male was arrested.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 6/29 at 6:38 p.m. — Shannon McGrory was arrested for the retail theft of $260 worth of merchandise. McGrory was in possession of percocet tablets in a pill bottle that had the name and address scratched off of the label.

Retail Theft at Kohl's on 6/29 at 10:04 p.m. — David Black, 32, 900 block of Steel Road, was cited for the retail theft of $126 worth of merchandise and Amanda Myers, 24, 900 block of Steel Road, was cited for the $96 worth of merchandise.

Vandalism at the unit block of E. Marthart Avenue on 6/29 at 6:24 a.m. — Victim reported that someone threw a beer bottle at his vehicle causing two dents on the hood and a scratch on the windshield.

Public Drunkenness at the unit block of E. Eagle Road on 6/30 at 3:05 a.m. — A white male walked into the street in the path of a police car. The male was highly intoxicated and refused to call for a ride. Timothy Getty, 22, 200 block of E. Eagle Road, was cited for public drunkenness.

Theft at the unit block of Greenview Lane on 7/1 at 12:57 a.m. — A leaf blower was stolen from victim's unsecured shed.

Bicycle Theft at the unit block of Greenview Lane on 7/1 at 9:21 a.m.

Simple Assault at the 2200 block of Darby Road on 7/1 at 6:21 p.m. — Officers responded to the location for a neighbor dispute. The victim reported that Frederick Nestor was shouting obscenities to his family and then hit him in the face. The victims' son came to his father's aid and he was also punched in the face. Nestor had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person and he was arrested and charged.    

Public Drunkenness at Paisano Pizza (100 block of W. Eagle Road) on 7/1 at 10:28 p.m. — Officers were dispatched for a disorderly subject harassing customers. Officers made contact with the subject and he was highly intoxicated. The subject had slurred speech and blood shot eyes. Dana Shuler, 48, unit block of Meadowlake Drive, Downingtown, was cited for public drunkenness.

Fraud at the 600 block of Walnut Lane on 7/2 at 12:03 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person made three transactions using her debit card without her permission or knowledge.

Motor Vehicle Theft at the unit block of Colfax Road on 7/4 at 11:38 a.m. 

Vandalism at the 1700 block of Lynnewood Drive on 7/4 at 10:26 a.m. — Screen door was damaged.

Theft at the Skate Park (1000 block of Darby Road) on 7/5 at 2040 hours — Victim reported that a person known to him stole his skateboard. 

Vandalism at the 600 block of Beechwood Drive on 7/5 at 4:02 p.m. — Street signs were spray painted.
