Police Blotter: 12 Reports of Theft, 6 for Vandalism

The following information comes from the Haverford Township Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

INCIDENTS:

Burglary (no force) at the 1100 block of Garfield Road on 4/25 at 9:14 a.m. — The property manager reported that copper pipe was removed from the basement. Numerous contractors have had access to the key box code in the past months.

Robbery at the 600 block of Paddock Road on 4/26 at 8:11 p.m. — Police responded to the above residence for a home invasion robbery. Four to five black males demanded money from the victims at gunpoint.   (Editor’s note: For more information, .)

Theft at LA Fitness (400 block of West Chester Pike) on 4/26 at 1953 hours —Unlocked vehicle was entered — iPhone and loose change was stolen.

Theft at LA Fitness on 4/26 at 10:50 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — Purse containing numerous credit cards, drivers license, sunglasses and a copy of 2012 tax returns was stolen.

Theft at Kindred Hospital (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 4/26 at 3:39 p.m. — The Director of Pharmacy reported that she discovered IV morphine missing from a locked closet.

Attempted Theft at LA Fitness on 4/26 at 8:05 p.m. — Victim reported that the driver’s side lock was tampered with on her vehicle.

Narcotics at Ardmore Avenue and Sulgrave Road on 4/26 at 1:22 a.m. — While conducting a vehicle stop the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle and the driver, Christopher Dockray had glassy blood shot eyes. Dockray was in possession of marijuana and was arrested and charged.

Theft at the Haverford Township Library (1600 block of Darby Road) on 4/27 at 3:09 p.m. — Victim reported that someone stole four credit cards from her purse. The purse was unattended in her unsecured office. Numerous purchases were made with the credit cards.

Liquor Law Violation at the 1400 block of Windsor Park and Ivy Rock Lanes on 4/27 at 6:57 p.m. — Police received a report of disorderly juveniles drinking in the woods. Upon arrival police observed juveniles consuming beer. The juveniles fled when they saw police.  Joseph Campli, 18, 300 block of Fairlamb Avenue, was cited for criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and underage possession of alcohol.

Theft at the 1700 block of Ridgeway Road on 4/28 at 9:20 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — iPhone and loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 1600 block of Ridgeway Road on 4/28 at 12:51 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — laptop was stolen

Theft at the 100 block of Aikens Drive on 4/28 at 3:54 p.m. — Jewelry was stolen from the residence.

Theft at the 1700 block of Powder Mill Lane on 4/28 at 9:54 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 600 block of Lakeside Drive on 4/28 at 11:38 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — $10 was stolen.

Theft at the 700 block of Lakeside Drive on 4/28 at 12:10 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 700 block of Lakeside Drive on 4/28 at 2:20 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — drivers license was stolen.

Vandalism at Railroad Avenue and Buck Lane on 4/28 at 7:05 a.m. — Vehicle tire was slashed.

Vandalism at the 100 block of Princeton Road on 4/28 at 9:41 a.m. — The victim reported that the rear view mirrors on both of his vehicles were damaged.

Vandalism at the 1300 block of Manor Road on 4/28 at 9:58 a.m. — Vehicle passenger side mirror was damaged.

Vandalism at the 100 block of Princeton Road on 4/28 at 10:05 a.m. — Passenger side mirror on the victim’s vehicle was damaged.

Vandalism at Chatham Glen Park on 4/28 at 9:23 p.m. — While conducting a foot beat the officer discovered vandalism to the park benches with black magic marker.

Liquor Law Violation at the unit block of Hannum Drive on 4/28 at 11:30 p.m. — Police were dispatched for an intoxicated subject. Charles Crawford, 19, unit block of Lakeshore Circle, Matietta, GA, was highly intoxicated and cited for underage drinking.

Theft at the Skate Park (unit block of W. Manoa Road) on 4/29 at 6:22 p.m. — Victim reported that someone stole his iPhone while he left it unattended on a bench.

Attempted Theft at the 700 block of Beechwood Drive on 4/29 at 11:03 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — nothing was reported missing.

Motor Vehicle Theft at Orange Energy Solutions (1300 block of Lawrence Road) on 4/29 at 5:29 p.m.

Simple Assault at the 1400 block of Steel Road on 4/29 at 11:41 p.m. — Police responded to the above location for a father/son domestic. Upon arrival police observed the father, George Conaghan Jr., bleeding from his hands. Conaghan was highly intoxicated and stated that he was angry at his son and took out his aggression by breaking items in the residence. Conaghan was arrested and charged.  

Vandalism at the 5000 block of Brittany Lane on 4/29 at 9:23 a.m. — Victim reported that someone damaged the drainpipe in his yard.

Liquor Law Violation at Haverford College (800 block of Ardmore Avenue) on 4/29 at 0121 hours — Officers were dispatched for an intoxicated subject. Charles Espinosa, 20, 3400 block of Blandemar Drive, Charlottesville, VA, was cited for underage drinking.

Public Drunkenness at the 100 block of Warrior Road on 4/29 at 7:39 a.m. — Resident reported that a suspicious male knocked on her door. Upon arrival police observed an intoxicated male standing in front of the residence. David Bradley, 34, 200 block of Bloomfield Avenue, Drexel Hill, was cited for public drunkenness.
