Police Blotter: 10 Reported Thefts

The following information comes from the Haverford Township Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

INCIDENTS:

Theft at the 1600 block of Mount Pleasant Avenue on 5/17 at 5:08 p.m. — Vehicle was entered and $60 was stolen.

Theft at B & R Auto (600 block of Haverford Road) on 5/17 at 2:29 p.m.scrap metal was stolen from the side of the business.

Fraud at Carlino's (2600 block of County Line Road) on 5/17 at 1:50 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person made unauthorized purchase on the business credit card without her permission or knowledge.

Vandalism at Merwood Park (2500 block of Wynnefield Drive) on 5/17 at 9:18 a.m. — graffiti was discovered on the storage shed.

Public Drunkenness at the 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike on 5/17 at 12:08 a.m. — Police were dispatched for a suspicious male sitting in his truck in the parking lot. Upon arrival police observed the subject, Brendan Kelly, highly intoxicated in his truck with a cooler filled with beer and an open beer in the front seat. Kelly was cited for public drunkenness.        

Liquor Law Violation at the 400 block of Earlington Road on 5/18 at 10:50 p.m. — Police were dispatched for a loud party in the rear of the above residence. Upon arrival officers observed an underage drinking party. The residence owner, Carolynn Anderson, 52, 400 block of Earlington Road, was cited for furnishing liquor to minors. Dylan Anderson, 18, 400 block of Earlington Road, Melissa Bianco, 18, 500 block of Royal Avenue, Jaymes Cannon, 18, 200 block of Washington Avenue, Kyle Lavin, 18, 2500 block of Darby Road, John Mann, 18, 1700 block of Woodmere Way and Daniel Schwartz, 18, 200 block of Hastings Avenue were cited for underage drinking.  

Bicycle Theft at the 1700 block of Ridgeway Road on 5/19 at 8:04 p.m.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/20 at 4:23 p.m. — Two black females stole $150 worth of merchandise and fled the store.

Vandalism at the unit block of E. park Road on 5/20 at 3:16 a.m. — vehicle side window was smashed.

Burglary at the 600 block of Lakeside Drive on 5/21 at 4:32 p.m. — An unknown person gained access into the residence through an unlocked window. A jewelry box was ransacked and various pieces of costume jewelry, a pair of diamond earrings and a diamond necklace were stolen.

Theft at LA Fitness (400 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/21 at 7:28 p.m. — Vehicle window broken and a Coach purse was stolen.

Theft at LA Fitness on 5/21 at 7:27 p.m. — Vehicle window was shattered and an iPhone was stolen.

Theft at the 700 block of Ashurst Road on 5/21 at 12:40 a.m. — Four potted cactus plants were stolen from the victim's back porch.

Theft at the 100 block of Treaty Road on 5/22 at 6:57 a.m. — Two unlocked vehicles were entered — GPS and credit cards were stolen.

Theft at the 100 block of Treaty Road on 5/22 at 7:36 a.m. — Vehicle was entered — tool set and a Passport Radar Detector were taken.

Bicycle Theft at Haverford College (unit block of Hannum Drive) on 5/22 at 5:38 p.m.

Theft at the 600 block of San Marino Avenue on 5/22 at 10:16 a.m. — Victim reported that a watch valued at $5,000 was stolen from his bedroom.

Theft at the 100 block of Treaty Road on 5/22 at 9:27 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — two over the seat DVD players were stolen.

Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Treaty Road on 5/22 at 9:08 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — nothing was reported missing.

Identity Theft at the 500 block of Sagamore Road on 5/22 at 3:53 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person used her identity to open two credit card accounts without her permission or knowledge.
