Penn Wynne Dry Cleaner Robbed At Gunpoint Friday

The suspect took $500 to $600 and left the owners unharmed.

A gun-wielding man robbed a Manoa Road dry cleaners and threatened its owners on Friday at about noon. After a tussle with one of the owner, the man escaped with $500 to $600 in cash, Lower Merion police confirmed. 

The armed robbery took place at , 1436 Manoa Road in the Penn Wynne section of Wynnewood.

The owners, husband and wife Kevin and Susan Roh, described the man as thin, causasian, of average height and in his late teens or early 20s, with two lower-lip piercings.

The man entered the store casually, they said, before telling Mrs. Roh to open the cash register because he had a gun. He then removed the gun from his pocket and Mrs. Rho gave him between $500 and $600.

At this point, the couple reported, the suspect put the gun back in his pocket and Mr. Roh, who had been in the rear of the store, grabbed him from behind and attempted to retrieve the cash from his pocket. The suspect then repeated that he had a gun, causing Mr. Roh to release him. The man then ran out the front door, made a left, and disappeared, on foot, eastward on Rock Glen Road.
