OMG PD: Man Tries to Walk 40 Miles to Doylestown

According to a report on Malvern Patch, police responded to a call of a man staggering in the road. Peter Edwardson, 51, of Doylestown, was found at Sugartown Road near Remington Lane and told police he was walking home from Radnor Hunt Races. Police arranged a taxi back to Doylestown and charged the man with public drunkenness.

Good thing they called a taxi: it's about 40 miles from Malvern to Doylestown.

It appears one thief made a clean theft from a Roxborough laundry facility.

Roxborough Patch reports that between 70 and 80 boxes of laundry detergent, fabric softeners and dryer sheets were stolen from the Laundromat, 401 Domino Lane May 17.

Police said an unknown person broke the lever to a vending machine and the took the items—valued at $40.

Mt. Airy Patch reports that a burglar tried to break into Kim's Market on Chew Avenue through a hole in the store's roof early Sunday morning before eventually being caught and arrested.

Police said they observed a man putting a ladder up on the store's roof and requested ladder service as a result.

They eventually caught up with the man on the rooftop and saw that he had entered the store through a hole on top of the building.
