No One Injured in Belvedere Avenue Fire

The fire started in a second floor bedroom Saturday afternoon. Its cause is still under investigation.

No one was injured in a bedroom fire that struck a Havertown home Saturday afternoon, officials are reporting.

According to Haverford Police Sgt. Shant Bedrosian, at 2:42 p.m. Manoa, Brookline, and Llanerch fire companies responded to a home on the 1700 block of Belvedere Avenue for a reported fire.

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, the residents had already evacuated the home and were not hurt.

The fire was extinguished and it was determined that it originated in a second floor bedroom. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though Bedrosian said foul play is not suspected.
