Llanerch Fire Co. Receives $1,000 Giant Gift

Volunteer fire company chief describes how the money will be used.

The Llanerch Fire Co. has $1,000 to put toward training, thanks to a gift from the new Giant supermarket the department will serve.

The fire company is one of five area charities and organizations presented with checks for $1,000 last week as part of the Giant's grand opening celebration. Llanerch Fire Co. Chief Chris Millay says "the thousand dollar donation will more than likely go to training, either through the classroom materials or actual fire fighting materials themselves."
