'Justice Rescue' Members Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Dog

The Havertown-based, pit-bull rescuing good guys who look like bad guys might actually be bad guys, Philly.com is reporting.

According to the paper, two of the men behind Justice Rescue—a team of animal lovers who save abused animals, all while cultivating a “biker” image—were arrested on Tuesday after they allegedly, illegally took a pit-bull from a Philadelphia property in November.

The pair won’t give the dog back and the Pennsylvania SPCA is fed up. The organization says it’s received complaints about the property in question, which is home to multiple pit-bulls that are left outside at night, but performed an investigation of its own and determined the dogs weren’t in any danger. Justice Rescue, apparently, disagreed.

"I don't need vigilantes out there doing this who have no clue what they're doing. I can't go traipsing around someone's property," PSPCA's director of law enforcement George Bengal told the paper.

Justice Rescue members Russell Wayne "Wolf" Harper and Robert John "House" Lewis were charged with impersonating a law-enforcement officer, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy stemming from the alleged incident.
