Jewelry Stolen, Recovered at Local Store, Police Say

Read a recent report of theft of jewelry from a Havertown home.

A resident in the 400 block of Brentwood Road reported on October 18 that four rings were stolen from the home's master bedroom. 

Some of the jewelry was later recovered at Best Jewelers in the Manoa Shopping Center.

A 23-year-old man from Havertown has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, according to police.

A 72-year-old man from Lansdale was then arrested at Best Jewelers for Receiving Stolen Property after police say he failed to properly identify the person selling him stolen jewelry and failed to record the transactions as required by law.

There have been a number of reports of stolen jewelry in Haverford Township recently.
