Haverford Township Hit with Pre-Christmas Burglaries

The police department's blotter shows just how many people were victimized by this pre-Christmas rash of break-ins.

A few days ago we reported that there were multiple burglaries within Haverford Township during the weekend before Christmas. The police department's blotter shows just how many people were victimized by this pre-Christmas rash of break-ins.

  • A back door to a home in the 600 block of Loraine Street was forced open and a bedroom drawer containing credit cards and check book was stolen on Dec. 19. The drawer was located in a nearby garage. Nothing appeared to be missing, however, according to police.

  • Damage was found to a door knob to a home in the 600 block of Loraine Street on Dec. 19, but it does not appear anyone entered the home. 

  • Someone forced their way in a back window of a home in the 200 block of Canterbury Lane on Dec. 20. Bedroom drawers were ransacked but nothing was reported missing.

  • Numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen from a home in the 300 block of Canterbury Lane on Dec. 20. Someone forced their way into a side window. 

  • A back door was kicked in at a home in the 1000 block of Hampstead Road on Dec. 20. Nothing was reported missing.

  • Someone entered a home in the 300 block of Cherry Lane through unlocked back door and stole a Kindle Fire, Apple Mac Pro, numerous gift cards and cash from a wallet on Dec. 20.

  • Someone made their way into a home in the 200 block of Walnut Place on Dec. 21 through a kitchen window. Jewelry was stolen from the home's master bedroom.

  • Someone kicked in the front door of a home in the unit block of Myrtle Avenue on Dec. 21, and stole a ring from the home's master bedroom.

  • Numerous pieces of jewelry were reported missing from a home in the unit block of Myrtle Avenue on Dec. 21. Someone got into the home through a window.

  • Someone entered a home in the 700 block of Dover Road on Dec. 21 by forcing open a side door. The bedroom drawers were ransacked, but it was unknown if anything was stolen. 

  • A back door was forced open and about $600 in change was stolen from an bedroom of a home in the unit block of Llandillo Road on Dec. 22. 

  • Someone entered a home in the 900 block of Larchmont Avenue on Dec. 22 by breaking the glass in the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

  • Someone broke the windowpane and unlocked the deadbolt of a door to a home in the 600 block of E. Manoa Road on Dec. 22. Nothing was reported missing.
