Haverford Police: Swastika Spray Painted in Township

The graffiti was discovered on January 16 on Bon Air Terrace.

The following incident reports were provided by the Haverford Township Police Department. Arrest does not suggest conviction. 

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 1/16 @ 1405 hours - laptop was stolen from an unattended office.

Vandalism at the unit block of W. Benedict Avenue on 1/16 @ 1641 hours - someone threw a bottle of coke at the victim's front door.

Vandalism at the 1300 block of Bon Air Terrace on 1/16 @ 2100 hours - swastika was spray painted in the street.

Criminal Mischief at the 2900 block of Rising Sun Road on 1/17 @ 0841 hours - Vehicle tire was slashed, OnStar antenna was stolen and door was scratched.

Vandalism at Karakung Drive and Lakeside Avenue on 1/17 @ 1932 hours - vehicle tire was slashed. 

Liquor Law Violation at the 100 block of W. Darby Road on 1/17 @ 2329 hours - Amber Helion, W/F/19, unit block of W. Darby Road, was cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking.

Theft at Manoa School (200 block of Manoa Road) on 1/18 @ 1145 hours - i-pod was stolen from the victim's locker.

Vandalism at Karakung Drive and Mill Road on 1/18 @ 2222 hours - vehicle tire was slashed.

Weapons at Haverford High School (200 block of Mill Road) on 1/18 @ 0721 hours - The principal reported a student was in possession of a Chinese throwing star. W/M/15 will be petitioned to juvenile court.

Theft at the 100 block of Foster Avenue on 1/19 @ 1136 hours - vehicle was entered - registration, insurance information and owners manual were stolen.

Burglary at the 1400 block of Johnson Road on 1/19 @ 1259 hours -  someone forced entry through the basement door and stole three air conditioners.

Narcotics at the 100 block of Strathmore Road on 1/19 @ 2351 hours - Police were dispatched to the above location for a suspicious occupied vehicle. The officer immediately detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana and observed an open beer bottle in the center console. Michael Dougherty was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and Shane Lynch, W/M/18, 100 block of Strathmore Road, was cited for underage drinking.

Liquor Law Violation at the 200 block of Strathmore Road on 1/19 @ 0008 hours - Police responded to the unit block of Strathmore Road for the report of a fight involving four males. The subjects were gone when police arrived. A short time later, a resident reported two black males in their backyard. K9 Officer and K9 Nitro arrived and hit for a scent and located the two intoxicated subjects hiding behind a shed. Hensworth Douglas, B/M/18, 200 block of Wycombe Avenue and Stephen Foster, B/M/18, 600 block of Naylors Run Road, were cited for underage drinking.  

Burglary at the 700 block of E. Manoa Road on 1/20 @ 0208 hours - someone entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole a purse containing $20, credit cards, blank checks and house keys.

Theft at the 2800 block of St. Mary's Road on 1/20 @ 1459 hours - Unlocked vehicle entered - backpack containing $130, prescription medication and several credit cards was stolen.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 1/20 @ 1346 hours -Celine Urbain, W/F/31, 700 block of Hedgerow Drive, Broomall, was cited for the retail theft of $120 worth of merchandise.

Theft at the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue on 1/21 @ 1444 hours - Victim reported several pieces of jewelry missing from her residence.

Theft at Haverford College (500 block of Panmure Road) on 1/21 @ 1637 hours - a bicycle and record player was stolen from a locked storage unit.

Vandalism at the unit block of Bambi Lane on 1/21 @ 0713 hours - vehicle window was shattered.

Vandalism at the 1400 block of Brierwood Road on 1/21 @ 1047 hours - garage was egged.

Theft at the 900 block of Edgewood Road on 1/22 @ 0917 hours - an eight foot steel beam was removed from the front lawn of the residence during renovations.
