Haverford Police: Attempted Burglary at Eagle Court Apartments

The incident occurred on December 4 at 3:49 p.m.

The following incident reports were provided by the Haverford Township Police Department. Arrest does not suggest conviction.

Theft at Top Notch Roofing (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 11/28 at 7:12 a.m. Numerous tools totaling over $800 were taken from the rear of a truck.

Aggravated Assault at the 100 block of West Chester Pike on 11/30 at 2:29 p.m. Police were dispatched to the above location to a Landlord/Tenant dispute. Upon arrival the defendant was observed on her third story fire escape. She used profane language, made several attempts to kick police and punched an officer in the chest. Bonita Rotoli was arrested and charged.

Theft at the 200 block of Sagamore Road on 11/30 at 2:20 p.m. Jewelry was stolen from the victim's residence.

Retail Theft at Wine and Spirits Store (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/1 at 4:41 p.m. Two juvenile males stole a bottle of liquor and fled the store. While checking the area, police stopped two juveniles matching the description. They were in possession of a bottle of liquor and admitted to removing the bottle from the store. One juvenile was cited for retail theft and underage possession and a second was cited for disorderly conduct.

Retail Theft at Swiss Farms (1200 block of W. Township Line Road) on 12/1 at 8:20 p.m. Two white males fled the store without paying for $18 worth of merchandise after two credit cards were declined.  

Receiving Stolen Property at the 900 block of E. Township Line Road on 12/2 at 8:52 p.m. While conducting a vehicle stop the driver fled on foot. Police gave chase and lost visual contact as the subject entered a neighborhood. A short time later an officer observed a black male matching the suspect's description riding a bicycle. Alex Smith was in possession of marijuana, the vehicle he was operating was stolen from Philadelphia and he admitted to stealing the bicycle when fleeing from police. Smith was arrested and charged.   

Vandalism at the 200 block of Washington Avenue on 12/1 at 7:55 p.m. A residence was egged.

Liquor Law Violation at Virginia and Shelbourne Roads on 11/30 at 11:31 p.m. Police responded to the above location for intoxicated subjects lying on the ground. Upon arrival police located a juvenile male and female. The male refused to cooperate with police and began to curse. Both juveniles were taken into custody. One juvenile was cited for underage drinking, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct for spitting on the floor in the police station. A second was cited for underage drinking.

Liquor Law Violation at Darby and Manoa Roads on 12/1 at 3:18 a.m. While on patrol police observed a juvenile male in front of the Skatium. The officer told him he was in violation of the Township's curfew ordinance and placed him in custody. It was determined the subject was under the influence of alcohol. The juvenile was cited for underage drinking and released to his father.

Liquor law Violation at Haverford College (300 block of W. Lancaster Avenue) on 12/1 at 1:09 a.m. Kevin M. Moran, 19, of the 7400 block of Knollwood Road, Towson, MD, was transported to the hospital for alcohol overdose and cited for underage drinking.

Liquor Law Violation at Haverford College on 12/2 at 12:02 a.m. Michael P.Moraskie,19, of the 400 block of Ray Luis, Guaynabo, PR, was transported to the hospital for alcohol overdose and cited for underage drinking.

Liquor Law Violation at Haverford College on 12/2 at 1:36 a.m. Philip H.Elbert, 20, of the1400 block of Graybar Lane, Nashville, TN, was transported to the hospital for treatment and cited for underage drinking.

Liquor Law Violation at Haverford College on 12/2 at 1:19 a.m. Nathan Vestrich-Stade, 18, of the 7500 block of Lhirondelle Club Road, Towson, MD, was transported to the hospital for treatment and cited for underage drinking. 

Theft at the 1300 block of Northrup Road on 12/3 at 9:36 a.m. A victim reported an envelope filled with cash was stolen from her residence.

Theft at the unit block of S. Eagle Road on 12/3 at 6:38 p.m. Sunglasses were stolen.

Theft at the 200 block of E. Hathaway Lane on 12/3 at 7:45 a.m. A vehicle was entered and a GPS was stolen.

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/3 at 10:53 a.m. Chandler Magee, 23, of the 200 block of S. MacDade Boulevard, Glenolden, was cited for the retail theft of $20 worth of merchandise.

Fraud at the 600 block of Hazelwood Road on 12/3 at 3:55 p.m. A victim reported that she lost three credit cards. Unknown persons made numerous purchases with two of the cards.

Liquor Law Violation at the 2600 block of County Line Road on 12/3 at 9:54 p.m. James Ambrose, 19, of the 100 block of Ardmore Avenue and Brandon Doonan, 19, of the 100 block of Valley Road, were cited for underage drinking.

Attempted Burglary at Eagle Court Apartments (1200 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/4 at 3:49 p.m. A white male attempted to enter an apartment. Pry marks were observed on the door.

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 12/4 at 2:51 p.m. A computer projector was stolen.

Fraud at the 100 block of Greenbriar Lane on 12/4 at 7:32 a.m. Victim reported that an unknown person made numerous charges with his credit card without his permission or knowledge.

DUI at Lawrence and Eagle Roads on 12/4 at 10:26 p.m. While conducting a vehicle stop it was determined the driver and passenger were under the influence of alcohol. One juvenile was arrested for DUI, unlicensed driver and underage drinking and a second was cited for underage drinking.
