The man threatened to shoot officers during a three-hour long standoff in April.
A Haverford man who had a three-hour standoff with police in April, during which he threatened officers with a handgun, plead guilty to assault charges on Tuesday, the Main Line Times is reporting.
According to the paper, the Assistant DA and the attorney for Christopher Mobley, 36, worked out a plea agreement for the West Hillcrest Avenue resident. Mobley plead guilty to three counts of aggravated assault before Judge Kevin Kelly, all first-degree felonies.
On April 21, Mobley got in an argument with his mother in the home they live in together. When police arrived—his ten-year-old son ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911—Mobley barricaded himself in the house and threatened to shoot the officers. Police later determined the handgun he brandished was unusable.
