Caught on Camera? A Woman is Videotaped Stealing a Planter and More from Police Blotter

Haverford Township is investigating a recent robbery, burglary and multiple reports of theft.

  • A man reportedly stole $23 worth of merchandise from Giant in the 100 block of W. Township Line Road and fled the store on Jan. 8. Giant’s Asset Protection Detective approached the man and took hold of his coat to return to the store with him, but according to police the man began to resist and the two became involved in a fight. The man broke free and fled on foot. 
  • A 34-year-old Bala Cynwyd woman was cited for the retail theft of $36 worth of merchandise at Kohl’s in the 200 block of West Chester Pike on Jan. 8. A 62-year-old Bala Cynwyd woman was cited for the retail theft of $10 worth of merchandise.  
  • A cell phone was stolen from a charging station locker at the YMCA in the 800 block of N. Eagle Road on Jan. 10. On Jan. 12 an iPhone was reported stolen from a locker there.

  • A planter was stolen from a lawn in the 100 block of Fairlamb Road on Jan. 12. According to police, surveillance video shows a woman get out of her car and remove a planter.  
  • A car window was shattered and pocketbook stolen from the car at Upland and Shelbourne roads on Jan. 12.
  • A window was broken and cash register stolen from Cutting Edge in the 100 block of W. Eagle Road on Jan. 13. 
  • Two men reportedly stole four tablets from the display case at Staples in the 1300 block of West Chester Pike and fled the store on Jan. 14.
