Break-In at the YMCA, Car Theft in the Police Blotter

Haverford Township Police are investigating a number of reported crimes, from burglaries to fraud.
A resident of the 100 block of West Eagle Road reported october 1 that someone made a large withdraw from her checking account without her permission or knowledge.
A resident in the the 200 block of E. Benedict Avenue reported October 1 that someone opened a credit card account using his identity and made numerous charges without his permission or knowledge.
Police were dispatched to the Haverford-Area Y in the 800 block of N. Eagle Road on September 30 around 3 p.m. for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival police found that the side gymnasium door was unlocked and the glass pool door was shattered. A shed in the back of the building had the lock cut, but nothing was reported missing, according to police.
A car was reported stolen from the 700 block of Homestead Avenue on September 29.
A resident of the unit block of Woodcroft Road reported on September 27 that someone entered a home through an unlocked door and stole sterling silver flatware, jewelry and a Coach briefcase.
