14-Year-Old with Drugs and Stun Gun, Vandalism in the Police Blotter

Read recent reports of vandalism, retail theft and assault.

Haverford Police are investigating these recently-reported crimes:

  • Six juveniles were cited for underage drinking at Westgate Park in the 300 block of Oxford Hill Lane on October 4 around 8 p.m.

  • A 38-year-old woman from Philadelphia was cited for Retail Theft of $148 worth of merchandise at Giant in the 100 block of W. Township Line Road on October 5.

  • Police received a report of a young man on a scooter with a “stun gun” in his hand at Turnbull and Darby Roads around 4:20 p.m. on October 5. A police officer made contact with the boy who "appeared confused and displayed bloodshot eyes," according to police. A 14-year-old was found to be in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stun gun.

  • Police report that a woman and man stole $197 worth of merchandise and fled Kohl's in the 200 block of West Chester Pike on October 6.
 
  • A man tried to steal Red Bull energy drinks from Giant in the 100 block of W. Township Line Road on October 7, police report. The male reportedly fled without the merchandise when he was approached by an employee.

  • Vandalism was reported at the 400 block of Glendale Road on October 7. A fence was damaged.

  • A boy was assaulted by three people while walking home from school on October 8 in the 200 block of Strathmore Road. The three suspects jumped from behind a bush and knocked the victim to the ground and punched him in the face, according to police.

  • Vandalism was reported in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue on October 8. A motion detector light on the victim’s porch was damaged.
