Moms Talk: What Are Your Kid's Favorite Books?

Need some parenting advice?

Each week in Moms Talk, the Haverford-Havertown Patch’s Moms Council of experts and smart moms take your questions, give advice and share solutions.

So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation today with: What are your kids favorite books?

Answer from Mom’s Councilmember Denise (mother of 1): My daughter does read every day for school, which is usually a book she gets from the school library, but  just recently started to read for pleasure and she particularly enjoys the American Girl Doll books. She can relate to the new girl that came out because she likes gymnastics so she is really into that right now.

Answer from Mom’s Councilmember Julie (mother of 3): My children are all on a Pokemon kick and either have read them themselves or has had me read the books to them. In the past we have enjoyed such books as Love You Forever, Snowmen at Night, Tacky the penguin books and the Diary of a Wimpy Kids series. Recently, my oldest came home with the first in the Dragon Breath Series. He is very excited about reading the next book in that series.

Answer from Mom’s Councilmember Emily (mother of 2): I love that I am now getting to read some of the books that were around when I was younger- Amelia Bedelia, Dr. Seuss books, and the Little Miss and Mister books.
