Stephanie Yen-Mun Liem Azar, 26, died on July 19 in New York City.

The multi-talented woman from Haverford's cause of death is unclear, reports Philly.com.

"She was diagnosed with an aggressive pneumonia, but was responding well to treatment by doctors from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was in her third year of medical school. Then, suddenly, she developed massive brain swelling," according to Philly.com.

According to her obituary, she is the daughter of Gie and Lisa Liem, and is also survived by her brother Jasper and her maternal grandparents Fook Hing and June Li. She was living in New York with her husband Pablo D. Azar and their two cats, Asterix and Obelix, while attending medical school at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, her obituary reads.
