Yard sales, Craigslist curb alerts, and Purple Heart (http://www.purpleheartpickup.org) are good places to start, especially for unloading furniture, unused exercise equipment, clothing and other odds and ends. However, there are some items that need to be properly recycled, and our townships have resources sand events to make your task a little easier.
