Thanksgiving Eve - Homecoming Concert

The night before
Thanksgiving has become the biggest party night of the year.  You won’t have to go far to get together with
friends for great live music.  If it
feels like the Philadelphia suburbs are overflowing with young, talented musicians
and performers, you are right.  Before
diving into Thanksgiving turkey dinners, some of these musicians will rock the
night in a special benefit “Homecoming Concert” in Haverford Township. 



 Two of the
performers are getting national attention right now.  Dave
Patten
via Hollywood and Matt
Cermanski
via TV.  The Homecoming
Concert will be streamed LIVE on iRadioPhilly
and co-hosted by students from Haverford High School’s radio station, WHHS and newspaper, The
Fordian
.



 Haverford High
School’s Dave Patten (2006) is
enjoying a blossoming music career and has several music and video releases.  Dave Patten and his singing talent are also
being featured in the new Hollywood comedy, Delivery
Man
, starring Vince Vaughn.  Patten
plays one of 500+ children reunited with their real father after a mix up at at
a fertility clinic that Vaughn’s character’s frequented 20-something years
earlier.  In the movie, Dave Patten plays
a busker, performing music on the street for money.  Dave Patten has a new EP, “On This Ledge” and
has written a novel, “Run of the Mill” on bookshelves now.

 Matt Cermanski is a 2011 graduate of
Phoenixville High School and has gained national attention as a member of Team
Adam on Season 5 of NBC’s hit TV show,“The Voice.”  Cermanski’s debut album "Long Road Home"
is available on iTunes. The single "Chapter One" from the album was
recorded by the Grammy award winning band, The Trammps, known for their smash
hit "Disco Inferno" (Burn Baby Burn), from "Saturday Night
Fever."  Matt has performed at numerous venues around Philadelphia
including, The Trocadero Theatre, The Colonial Theatre, World Cafe Live, Steel
City and many more. Matt has also been featured on NBC 10 the 10! Show and ABC
Action News Philadelphia.  Matt Cermanski
performed at the 2011 and 2012 Haverford
Music Festival
.



 The Homecoming
Concert will also feature two performers from the 2013 Haverford Music
Festival.  Seventeen year old Ashley Leone from Germantown
Academy and  local duo Kicking Capital
with Cait Kelly of Havertown (Carroll 2007) and Sean McDermott of
Conshohocken.

 A 17 year old
Germantown Academy High School student, Ashley
Leone
has hit the local music scene running. Consistently ranked in the top
50 Singer Songwriters in the US, and currently ranked #1 in Philadelphia on
REVERBNATION.com, Ashley Leone has already headlined many shows in legendary
venues such as New York's the Bitter End, Philadelphia's World Cafe Live, Tin
Angel, the TLA and at Nashville's 12th and Porter, Ashley is already a seasoned
performer.  She was a highlight of the
Main Stage at the 2013 Haverford
Music Festival
.. For the last two summers, Ashley has entertained the VIP's
before concerts at The Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden NJ for a great list of
artists such as: One Direction, Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, The Fray, Drake,
Miranda Lambert, Maroon 5 and Jason Aldean. 



 Kicking Capital
formed in 2012 when Cait Kelly and Sean McDermott crossed paths while playing
in other bands.  After one rehearsal, the
musical chemistry was unmistakable.  Cait
sings a variety of pop favorites from the 90’s to now while Sean sings backup
and plays guitar.



 The Homecoming
Concert is being produced by non-profit Kelly
Music For Life
.  Proceeds from the
concert will benefit community initiatives in Haverford Township.  Food donations will be contributed to Philabundance.  Kelly Music For Life is a member of the
Haverford Township Civic Council and the Haverford Partnership for Economic
Development.
