Face the Music

Broadway
meets the NYPD in this Prohibition-era cocktail of show business, political
corruption, chorines, bums and public morals! It’s 1932, and backers for new
Broadway extravaganzas are scarce. Even the city’s millionaires are eating at
the Automat. Enter the NYPD, whose chief decides to launder some easily-won
bribe and corruption pay-offs into a sure-fire musical miss-fire! Chaos ensues
as the Police Department becomes more interested in the chorus girls than in
public safety, and the director takes a hike. When the show flops, the
desperate cast takes over and adds something truly risqué and innovative.
Success – but at a hilarious price!
