Each week, the Haverford-Havertown Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.
We want to hear about these amazing children and teens, and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.
Now here is this week's Whiz Kid:
- Whiz Kid's Name: Sofia Ryan
- Whiz Kid's School: Haverford Middle School
- Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Great local music education.
- Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: "The 14-year-old 8th grader started learning piano during elementary school with a private teacher. She is currently in 7th Heaven the premier choir at the middle school and has been selected for the 12th District Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Choir, one of eight from the middle school, two sopranos, two altos(Sofia), two tenors, and two bass. She loves music and is always singing. To her it is not work but play and who doesn't like to play?" wrote her father, John Ryan.
