Approval of the preliminary plans for a development that includes a Lowes and a supermarket will go before the Board of Commissioners next week.

The agreement protects the township from any “state-related liability associated to what is the superfund site and that includes the property of the bubble gum factory,” says township attorney David Brooman.

And a young man was cited for public drunkenness after literally running into the hood of a police car.

The suit, filed this week, is the third such civil suit against the district.

Calling it an “early season heatwave,” the NWS stated the warning remains in effect from noon Wednesday until 8 p.m. Thursday.

The school district will be having an early dismissal for three elementary schools that do not have air conditioning.
