U.S. Open: Is It Worth The Hassle?

The area is being turned upside down for a week. Do you think it's a worthwhile cause?

Millions of eyes will be on Merion Golf Club next week for the 2013 U.S. Open.

Merion will be the shortest course for any major championship since the 2004 U.S. Open (although it has been lengthened since the 1981 Open). And we are in a densly-populated area that will be impacted by the influx in people. Tournament officials

JEFFREY commented, "DAMN ! There goes the entire region around the Haverford/Lower Merion area. No way to travel through our own neighborhoods."

Bob Logan writes, "Sure some immediate neighbors will be inconvienced...if that includes you my condolences. In the 30+ yrs since the Open was at Merion there have been a whopping four PGA Tour events in our suburbs...yes inconvenience but no big deal."
