The following information comes from the Haverford Township Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

The latest forecast track from the National Hurricane Center projects Irene will pass well offshore of the east coast of central and north Florida Thursday night and early Friday.

Heavy rain expected in our region, including Havertown, beginning Saturday night and continuing through Sunday.

An emergency declaration will enable local governments to better respond to Hurricane Irene and the damage she is expected to inflict upon the Philadelphia area.
