Police Blotter: Woman Reports ID Theft, Has $3,000 Verizon Bill

INCIDENTS:

Fraud at the 200 block of Oxford Road on 5/1 at 4:09 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person made multiple purchases using her credit card without her permission or knowledge.

Vandalism at the 500 block of Lawrence Road on 5/1 at 4:07 p.m. — vehicle window was smashed.

Narcotics at West Chester Pike and Darby Road on 5/1 at 12:47 a.m. — While conducting a vehicle stop the officer observed the passenger, Kelly Jimenez—Garcia, attempt to conceal something. Jimenez—Garcia was in possession of marijuana. The driver, Yarelis Garcia, admitted to ingesting marijuana before driving. Jimenez and Garcia were arrested and charged.

Disorderly Conduct at Chatham Glenn Park (200 block of Juniper Road) on 5/1 at 8:39 p.m. — Police were dispatched for a disorderly group in the park. Upon arrival the officer observed four white males exiting the park. The subjects admitted to smoking marijuana prior to police arrival. Sean DeMarco,18, 200 block of Wickford Road, Timothy Ferkler, 19, 200 of Wickford Road, Michael Gentile, 18, 600 block of Ashurst Avenue and David Griffin,18, 1300 block of Leedom Road, were cited for disorderly conduct and Township Parks Ordinance. 

Theft at the unit block of Brookline Boulevard on 5/2 at 9:25 a.m. — Victim reported money missing from her apartment.

Burglary (forced entry) at the 1900 block of West Chester Pike on 5/3 at 10:35 p.m. — An unknown person gained access into the apartment by forcing their way in through a locked sliding glass door. Two paychecks and two necklaces were stolen.

Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on 5/3 at 7:15 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — $40 and credit cards were stolen.

Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on 5/3 at 5:22 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — Loose change, iPod nano and a GPS were stolen.

Theft at the 1300 block of Steel Road on 5/3 at 8:59 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — Loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on 5/3 at 10:13 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on 5/3 at 5:40 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Attempted Theft at the 1300 block of Steel Road on 5/3 at 8:31 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — nothing was reported missing.

Vandalism at Nails and Spa (1200 block of E. Darby Road) on 5/5 at 10:43 p.m. — Front window on the shop was smashed.

Vandalism at the 1800 block of Hawthorne Avenue on 5/5 at 9:32 p.m. — residence was egged.

Narcotics at West Chester Pike and Upland Road on 5/5 at 7:33 p.m. — While conducting a vehicle search, the driver, Jaron Turner, was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Liquor Law Violation at Covington and Pickwick Roads on 5/5 at 3:05 a.m. — While on patrol officers observed an intoxicated juvenile walking in the middle of the street. A white 15-year-old male was cited for underage drinking.

Liquor Law Violation at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 5/5 at 3:17 a.m. — Daniel Kowalski, 20, 100 block of Woodside Drive, Clark Summit, was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

Criminal Mischief at the 800 block of Naylors Run Road on 5/6 at 11:49 a.m. — Victim reported that the window of his van was smashed.

Vandalism at the 2100 block of Oakmont Avenue on 5/6 at 11:24 a.m. —  Driveway lamps were damaged.

Vandalism at Powder Mill Park (900 block of Powder Mill Lane) on 5/6 at 7:19 p.m. — Unknown juveniles threw toilet paper on the playground equipment.

Theft at Applebee's (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/4 at 1:38 p.m. — Victim reported that he was fraudulently charged an additional $10 for a tip he did not authorize on his credit card.

Criminal Mischief at the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue on 5/4 2 1:07 p.m. — Graffiti was observed on a utility pole.

Theft at the 200 block of Hastings Avenue on 5/7 at 7:35 hours — Copper piping was stolen from the side of the residence.

Theft at the 100 block of Warrior Road on 5/7 at 4:24 p.m. — Victim reported that an elderly man took her son's basketball from their front yard.

Vandalism at the unit block of W. Eagle Road on 5/8 at 3:33 p.m. — Vehicle was keyed.

Theft at the 800 block of Ardmore Avenue on 5/8 at 7:21 p.m. — Victim reported that she lost her bankcard and four fraudulent charges were made with it before it was cancelled.

Identity Theft at the 2800 block of Haverford Road on 5/8 at 6:49 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person opened a Verizon Wireless account using her identity and has an outstanding bill over $3,000.

Theft at Beer Guys (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/8 at 2:39 p.m. — A white female stole $50 while the clerk left money unattended on the counter.

Theft at LA Fitness (400 block of West Chester Pike) on 5/8 at 9:38 p.m. — Vehicle was entered — a purse containing several credit cards, social security card and $10 was stolen.

Theft at the 800 block of N. Eagle Road on 5/8 at 10:07 p.m. — Two large steel plates worth $1,500 each were stolen from the construction site.
