Last Chance: Electronic Recycling, Registering To Vote

With hundreds of events come and go in the community,  how often does one pass you by that you wish you had not missed out on?

Each week The Haverford-Havertown Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.

ELECTRONIC RECYCLING DAY

When: Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What: Safely recycle old appliances and electronics at Haverford Township's annual Electronic Recycling Day event. The event is in partnership with Marple  Township. Some of the items that will not be accepted at the event include washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, thermostats, lawn mowers, snow blowers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, and A/C units.

Where: West Chester Pike & N. Malin Road, Broomall

Cost: Free

When: Saturday, April 14, 2012, 8 a.m.

What: Come out to a great yard sale.

Cost: Free

When: Monday, April 16, at 9 a.m.

What: Upload those photos now in Patch's Biggest Sports Fan contest. You have until 9 a.m. on Monday to submit your fan photos for a chance to win $240 Stubhub tickets to use towards a future game.

When: Saturday, April 28, 2012, 4 p.m.

What: Haverford Education Foundation Twilight 5K Run & Walk, 1 Mile Elementary School Challenge

• $20 for adults before 4/25
• $15 for students after 4/25
• $25 for adults after 4/25
