ELECTRONIC RECYCLING DAY

When: Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What: Safely recycle old appliances and electronics at Haverford Township's annual Electronic Recycling Day event. The event is in partnership with Marple  Township. Some of the items that will not be accepted at the event include washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, thermostats, lawn mowers, snow blowers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, and A/C units.

Where: West Chester Pike & N. Malin Road, Broomall

When: Saturday, April 14, 2012, 8 a.m.

What: Come out to a great yard sale.

Cost: Free


When: Monday, April 16, at 9 a.m.

What: Upload those photos now in Patch's Biggest Sports Fan contest. You have until 9 a.m. on Monday to submit your fan photos for a chance to win $240 Stubhub tickets to use towards a future game. 

Cost: Free

When: Saturday, April 28, 2012, 4 p.m.

What: Haverford Education Foundation Twilight 5K Run & Walk, 1 Mile Elementary School Challenge

Price:

  • $10 for students before 4/25
  • $20 for adults before 4/25
  • $15 for students after 4/25
  • $25 for adults after 4/25
