Some area food stores are without power.

No injuries have been reported as Haverford Township workers on Sunday morning cleared down trees and debris as Hurricane Irene heads out.

Township workers were busy this morning clearing a tree of a house in the 600 block of Penfield Road in Havertown. A neighbor tells the Haverford-Havertown Patch that the tree came down around 10 p.m. Saturday night just as Delaware County officials alerted residents that a tornado was in the area.

Neighbors said no one was in the home at the time the tree came down on Penfield Road and no one has lost power. Township workers were working in the rain to clear the tree from the house.
