Time to get out and have some fun.

It's that time of the week again. Right before you dive into your weekend planning, Patch is here to offer up some suggestions about great local events to check out in Haverford Township and surrounding communities.

  • Where/When:  , 794 College Ave, Haverford, Friday, March 25, 5:30 p.m.
  • Why Go:"The Relentless Eye: Global Cell Phone Photography consists of images made from cell phone cameras organized by the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont. Panel discussion will be held from 4:30-5:30pm, followed by the opening reception. Exhibit will run through April 22."
  • Pricing: Free

The 2011 Old House Fair

  • Where/When:  31 W Coulter St., Philadelphia, Saturday, March 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Why Go:"The Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia designs the Old House Fair to address an unmet need for the special expertise, goods and services that local homeowners need to meet the challenges of maintaining an old house. The Fair features over 70 vendor booths and an array of learning opportunities for owners of the old house to better maintain and restore their homes, including demonstrations, expert panels and other 'hands on' assistance."
  • Pricing: $10 General Admission, $5 Preservation Alliance Members

Benefit Japanese Tsunami Relief, Kids Concert

  • When/where: Sunday, March 27, 2011, 3 p.m.– 4:30 p.m., Lower Merion High School Auditorium, 315 E Montgomery Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003,
  • Why go: Bring the kids to enjoy music by Maestro’s Friends and donate to benefit the victims of the Japanese tsunami and earthquake.
  • Cost: Free with admission
