Get Out: Things To Do This Weekend

Time to get out and have some fun.

It's that time of the week again. Right before you dive into your weekend planning, Patch is here to offer up some suggestions about great local events to check out in Haverford Township and surrounding communities.

This week we've got a great list, so let’s get right to it:

  • Where/When:  370 Lancaster Ave, Haverford, PA 19041 (Haverford College), 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 18.
  • Why Go:  "Curated by Visiting Professor of Anthropology Ruti Talmor, 'Possible Cities: Africa in Photography and Video' explores the African metropole as a confluence of history and fantasy, promise and struggle. Photo and video installations by Sammy Baloji, Pieter Hugo, Sabelo Mlangeni, Salem Mekuria, Ingrid Mwangi, and Guy Tillim challenge representations of Africa as neither traditional utopia or post-colonial distopia, offering instead a more complicated picture of cosmopolitanism, and of the relationship between pasts and futures."
