Easygoing Cats, Trixie, Trina, Seek Adoption

These two cats are both kid friendly.

These cats are different in personality but they both need a loving home. This playfully, inquisitive cat and this masked cat that is more of a mystery are available for adoption at the

Trixie is a female, gray and white, domestic shorthaired cat that is about 2 years old. Trixie came to the SPCA in December as an owner turnover. Her owner moved and pets were no longer accepted, Justina Calgiano, director of community relations at the Delaware County SPCA, said.

Trixie is inquisitive, friendly and gentle. She loves to sit on people’s laps and keep them warm but she’s also active and likes to play. Because she was turned over to the SPCA by her former owner, she has an extensive background available, Calgiano said.

She is litter box trained and could easily move in with a family who has children of any age.

Trina is a female, orange and black, Torti cat, which is short for tortoise shell. She is an adult that is litter box trained and she came to the SPCA as a stray in December.

Because Trina is a Torti she looks as if she’s wearing a mask, a Phantom of the Opera mask specifically. Half of her face is orange across one eye, while the other side of her face is black covering the other eye.

Trina’s coloring is rare, Calgiano said, even for a Torti.

Trina is relaxed and likes to lounge around in her crate. She is somewhat shy and sleepy but she is kid friendly and would do well in a home with any aged children.

There are always adoption specials going on at the SPCA, like $30 Thursdays, so always ask if there is currently an adoption special available.
