Daily Forecast: Heat Wave's a Comin'

After a high of 92 degrees today and tomorrow, temperatures should climb to 98 by Friday.

Some like it hot. Few, however, like it this hot.

According to the National Weather Service, a day after temperatures flirted with the 90s, Haverford is projected to have a high of 92 degrees this afternoon with partly sunny skies, a 6 to 8 mph breeze, and a 20 percent chance of precipitation. The nighttime temperature will get as low as 73 degrees with a chance of thunderstorm before 2 a.m.

Though Tuesday's heat index will reach 97 degrees and stay there for much of the afternoon, the real fun starts later in the week. After a projected high of 92 degrees on Wednesday, temperatures will hit 97 on Thursday and climb to 98 on Friday, before cooling off to 95 and 94 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Ladies and gentlemen, start your air conditioners.
