We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the information on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

When/where: 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Haverford Township Free Library
Why go: Age-appropriate books; songs and rhymes; playtime with books, puppets, and toys; parent information and resources
Cost: free

Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
When/where: 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday, Harriton High School Auditorium, 600 North Ithan Ave., Rosemont
Why go: A wonderful high school production appropriate for all ages
Cost: $10 adults, $5 children

Narberth Havurah Purim Party
When/where: 4-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Merion Friends Meeting Activities Building 615 Montgomery Ave, Merion
Why go: Experience the Purim holiday in a welcoming group environment
Cost: free (see website for potluck suggestions)

Busy as Bees: Solitary Bee House Workshop
When/where: 1 p.m. Sunday, Rolling Hill Park, 1301 Rose Glen Road, Gladwyne
Why go: Get the buzz on native solitary bees and make a bee house to put in your garden.
Cost: $15 LMC members, $20 non-members

Jesus Christ Superstar matinee & shows
When/where: 2 p.m. Sunday, Narberth Community Theater, Narberth UMC Price & Essex Aves, Narberth
Why go: See a great production by local actors. Evening shows on March 24, 25, & 26th, 8pm
Cost: $17 adult, $14 child
