Thanksgiving Turkey Orders, Pumpkin Pie at Oakmont Farmers Market Wednesday

The Oakmont Farmers Market will be open on Wednesday, October 2.
The market is open from 2 to 5:30 p.m. in the Grace Chapel Parking Lot, 1 W. Eagle Road in Havertown.
The farmers market has provided a list of vendors that will be at the market this week and what they will be offering shoppers.

Will and Lynne will return to the market this week with their wonderful variety of fresh and fresh-aged goat cheeses. Email cheese@amazingacresgoatdairy.com with any special requests for next week.

Peg will have tomatoes, red, white and sweet potatoes, red and yellow watermelon, red, green and yellow and hot peppers, green beans, lima beans, red beets, parsley, basil, rosemary and maybe some cabbage. As always, she'll have dog treats too!
Bob will return to the market on Wednesday with his gourmet bake-at-home pizzas. We will see him biweekly through the season. FRUITWOOD ORCHARDS HONEY FARMThis week Miles will have acorn and butternut squash, onions, sweet potatoes, eggplant, green beans, corn, hot and sweet peppers, okra, tomatoes, potatoes, grapes (black, red and green), more apples, plums, nectarines, peaches, Bartlett and Asian pears, watermelon, and apple cider. Of course, he will have Fruitwood's local honey, honey spreads, bee pollen, and apple butter.
GOLDEN VALLEY FARMSGolden Valley will be at the market this week with an array of organic, shade grown, bird-friendly, and Fair Trade coffees and teas. To pre-order a coffee or if you have a special request for a grind setting, please call 610-719-0232 or email: sales@goldenvalleyfarms.com
Darren is at the market this week with a selection of his delicious baked goods and breads.
Axel is now accepting orders for Thanksgiving turkeys. Only eight weeks left....you better hurry! Axel and his family raise them as naturally as possible, outdoors, plenty of grass, local feed, whole wheat and lots of sunshine. You can order online or come to the market and ask questions and pick up lots of other wonderful farm fresh products. Axel will have plenty of fresh eggs, fresh chicken, fresh turkey and lots of fresh pork, lamb, duck and beef items this week.
MACDOUGALL'S IRISH VICTORY CAKES
Deb will be back at the market with her delicious Irish Victory Cakes. MacDougall's latest NEW FLAVOR ... Black Irish. This is a mellow cocoa confection dipped in Wilbur chocolate. Deb will be at the market twice monthly through the season.
MY HOUSE COOKIESThis week Marie will start bringing pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread and pumpkin scones along with a variety of pies, quiches, cookies and other sweets. To reserve baked goods, leave a message @ 610-659-7954 or email marie@myhousecookies.com.
Shannon and Alex will be at the market with Hosui Asian pears and several varieties of apples including Sugar Snap. Veggies will include kale, spinach, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, Romanesco, kohlrabi and sweet peppers.
Cliff will return to the market Wednesday with his lively, Pennsylvania wines. Cliff is at the market biweekly this season.
