Moms Restaurant Roundup: Ron's Cafe to Al Dar Bistro

Patch reviews Ron's Café, Carlino's, Old Guard House Inn, A Taste of Philly, A Cut Above, Tea and Cakes Tea Room, Lincoln Drive Delicatessen, Elegance Café, Coyle's Cafe and Al Dar Bistro

Looking for a restaurant that is family friendly? This week, Haverford-Havertown Patch reviewed  on how kid-friendly it is. The chef here will make a smaller plate of pasta marinara for your little ones and everyone can enjoy the antipasto, chicken parmesan and desserts. This BYOB would be good for a family dinner out. Click  for the review.

This weekend, Patch has reviews of restaurants around the area. Find out which ones have kids’ menus and which ones are paying the most attention to food allergies.

Mangia mangia at this local Italian specialty shop! Kids and parents alike will love the homemade dishes including pastas, macaroni and cheese, sandwiches and the best tomato pie ever. Click for the review.

Old Guard House Inn 953 Youngsford Road Gladwyne, PA 19035

There is a kids menu at this fine dining restaurant that includes pasta, chicken fingers and petite filet. I can’t imagine my young nieces and nephews enjoying a night out here but my parents and I had a lovely dinner. Click for the review.

Soft pretzels made the old fashioned way, with salt or without. Kids will love coming here for an afternoon snack and drink. Click for the review.

Every imaginable sandwich, Herr’s chip or Tastykake is available here. Come in for some local flavor and some of the best hot sandwiches around. Click for the review.

If you’re looking for a place for a great mother-daughter tea, this is the spot. For every girl (or grown woman who used to) pretend to have tea parties, this cozy spot in Media is just the ticket. Click for the review.

This is the place to head on the weekends for a quick and easy lunch for you and the kids. Order some tuna sandwiches, perhaps a turkey hoagie and some chips and call it a day.  Click for the review.

All sorts of baked goodness, delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, hearty chicken salads and more await you at this local bakery and café. A shopping bonus is the shelf of reduced price items (cook’s tip: older bread makes fantastic bread pudding, bread salad and toast). Click for the review.

Coyle’s Café 6080 Ridge Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19128

There is a kids menu at this family owned café featuring chicken fingers, burgers, pizzas, pasta and more. Remember that this is a restaurant attached to a bar. My grown up friends were a bit scared by the screaming fans during the Flyers game. Click here for the review.

Kids pasta, chicken fingers and heart healthy hummus or salad could be the way to go here when you’re dining out with the family. Click  for the review.
