Kids Eat Local: Sukho Thai

Find out how kid-friendly Sukho Thai in Havertown is.

Restaurant:

Is there a kids’ menu? No but kids can order lunch size portions at dinnertime and will enjoy the chive dumplings, chicken satay, noodle dishes and mango sticky rice.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The food is made to order using fresh ingredients so there are few, if any, preservatives. The chicken satay is a good source of protein and there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert the staff and they will try to accommodate you as best they can. Thai food is a great choice for gluten and lactose intolerant diners because rice is the prevalent starch and coconut milk is used rather than actual dairy products.

Is there a diaper changing station? No.

How difficult is it to maneuver a stroller through the dining area? Can get difficult if the restaurant is crowded or if the stroller is especially wide. The dining area is long and narrow.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Depends on how filled the dining room is. At the beginning of our dinner a small cry would be noticed but by the time the dining room filled up a small cry wouldn't draw any attention.
