Jewelry, Pottery, Cakes at Oakmont Farmers Market Wednesday

Read what will be for sale at the market this week.

The Oakmont Farmers Market will be open on Wednesday, August 28.

The market is open from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Grace Chapel Parking Lot, 1 W. Eagle Road in Havertown.

The farmers market has provided a list of vendors that will be at the market this week and what they will be offering shoppers.

BACKYARD BISON

Rod will be back at the market with his tasty bison steaks and jerky. We will see him biweekly through the season.

BLUEBERRY HILL FARM 

Peg will have beets, eggplants, sweet and hot peppers, green and yellow beans, cucumbers, pickles, white and red potatoes, herbs, tomatoes, blackberries, raspberries, watermelon (red and yellow, seeded and seedless), and cantaloupe. As always, she'll have dog treats too!

CONEBELLA FARM 

Pam will be back at the market with Conebella's wonderful array of Cheddar and Colby based cheeses, and cheese spreads. We'll see her biweekly through the season.

FRUITWOOD ORCHARDS HONEY FARM

This week Mike will  have green beans, peppers, frying peppers, squash, zucchini, okra, onions, corn, artichokes, white and red potatoes, white and yellow peaches, nectarines, grapes (red, white, and black), Gala apples, cantaloupe, plums, and blackberries. Of course, he will have his local honey, honey spreads, bee pollen, and apple butter.

GOLDEN VALLEY FARMS 

Jackie will be at the market this week with an array of organic, shade grown, bird-friendly, and Fair Trade coffees and teas.  To pre-order a coffee or if you have a special request for a grind setting, please call 610-719-0232 or email: sales@goldenvalleyfarms.com

GREAT HARVEST BREAD

Darren is back at the market this week with a selection of his delicious baked goods and breads.

HAVERFORD GUILD OF CRAFTSMEN 

The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen will be at the market this week, featuring the work of two members: jewelry by Caroline Lenel and pottery by Ken Beidler. You can take a look at Ken's work on his web site, www.beidlerpottery.com.

LINDENHOF FARM 

Axel will have lots meats for your Labor Day Picnics. As every week, the chicken and turkey items will be fresh, never frozen. He will have available all beef hot dogs, patties, steaks, pork sausages, bacon and plenty of farm fresh eggs and meat pies. Lots of delicious back-to-school lunches and dinners can be made from all the wonderful products found at this Farmers Market. 

MACDOUGALL'S IRISH VICTORY CAKES 

Deb will be back at the market with her always delicious (and sometimes boozy!) Irish Victory Cakes. She will be at the market twice monthly through the season.

MOMPOPS

Issa will be at the market this week with his always refreshing  popsicles. His popsicles are handmade and gluten free, nut free, dairy free, soy free, and 100% vegan. Pick up a case - 10 pops for $20. 

MY HOUSE COOKIES 

Marie will have corn, tomato, and bacon quiche, peach pie, and a variety of other baked goods. For reservations leave a message @ 610-659-7954 or email marie@myhousecookies.com.

NAUGHTY NUTTY LOVE 

Denise will return to the market this week with her peanut, almond and cashew butters, Buckeye bars, and PB&O's (peanut butter and oatmeal bars). This week she'll be bringing the latest addition to the butter menu: Chocolate Almond Butter! We will see her twice monthly through the season.

NORTH STAR ORCHARD 

Shannon and Alex  will have apples, peaches, lettuce, chard, kale, beans, tomatoes, eggplant, and the first broccoli of the season! Enter their August giveaway for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate and other goodies! (this Wed is your last chance to buy tickets!).

PARADOCX VINEYARD 

Kelly will be at the market with Paradocx's  locally crafted wines, and famous Paint Cans! Remember to bring your empty cans for a $2 credit toward your purchase this week. She will be at the market biweekly this season.

SCHAEFFER'S FLOWERS

Denny will be bringing dahlias, sunflowers, gladiola, tuberoses, zinnias, and small and large mixed bouquets. 

SPOTTED HILL FARM 

Donna will be at the market with all of her wonderful soaps, lotions, shampoos, and Beat It Bug! Spray.  She will be at the market monthly through the season. 

TASTE ARTISANAL MARKET 

Ari will be back at the market with a selection of gourmet spreads and cheese accompaniments. We will see her biweekly through the season. 

VERA PASTA

Joe will be at the market with  an assortment of  his fresh pastas, ravioli, gnocchi, and regional sauces.  Stop by to pick up a pound (or five!).
