2nd Saturday Arts Stroll

Summary: The Media Arts Council (M.A.C.) hosts the 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll on the second Saturday of every month. More than 30 businesses in downtown Media stay open late as part of the free arts event. Shops and restaurants host local musicians or display the work of local artists. Visitors can use a M.A.C. 2nd Saturday map to find music, art and participating shops. Different local artists and musicians are featured each month.

About: Coca Cola Park is home to the Iron Pigs baseball team, a Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, where current Phillies such as John Mayberry and Vance Worley have played. The park was minor league baseball's most visited venue in 2011 with close to 630,000 fans passing through the turnstiles. The stadium has been named "Ballpark of the Year" by Ballpark Digest and "Best Ballpark in Triple-A Baseball" by Stadium Journey. Friday night games conclude with fireworks. The stadium includes a red Robin Kids' Zone, many concession stands and a Majestic clubhouse store for team merchandise.

Players Club of Swarthmore

Admission: Adult: $15 for plays, $25 for musicals. Student (18 and younger and students with ID) $8 and $13.

About:  The Players Club of Swarthmore is a community theater based in Swarthmore that produces 7 mainstage shows each year in its 300-seat, air-conditioned theater. In addition, they produce smaller, more avant-garde productions in its 80-seat black-box theater known as the “Second Stage.”  “Children of Eden” is the current production at the Players Club of Swarthmore and is running through May 12.
