Calypso Beans, Bug Spray at Oakmont Farmers Market Wednesday

Read what will be for sale at the market this week.

The Oakmont Farmers Market will be open on Wednesday, October 16.

The market is open from 2 to 5:30 p.m. in the Grace Chapel Parking Lot, 1 W. Eagle Road in Havertown.

The farmers market has provided a list of vendors that will be at the market this week and what they will be offering shoppers.

AMAZING ACRES 

Will and Lynne will return to the market this week with their wonderful variety of fresh and fresh-aged goat cheeses.  Email cheese@amazingacresgoatdairy.com with any special requests for next week.

BLUEBERRY HILL FARM

This week Peg will be bringing broccoli, cauliflower, hot, red, green and yellow peppers, sweet, red, and Yukon gold potatoes, red beets, leeks, radishes, winter squashes, gourds, pumpkins, tomatoes, green and yellow beans and as always, she'll have dog treats too!

BOB'S BAKE AT HOME PIZZA

Bob will return to the market this Wednesday with his gourmet bake-at-home pizzas. We will see him biweekly through the season. If you have any special requests for whole wheat, gluten free or other favorite crusts or toppings, please email Bob at bob@bobsbakeathome.com with your request. We will see him biweekly through the season.

ECLAT CHOCOLATE

Liz will be at the market this Wednesday with Eclat's decadent chocolates. We will see her biweekly through the season. Call: 610-692-5206 or e-mail: info@eclatchocolate.com to place any special orders for next week.   

FRUITWOOD ORCHARDS HONEY FARM

This week Miles will  be bringing acorn and butternut squash, onions, sweet potatoes, eggplant, green beans, hot and sweet peppers, Brussels sprouts, okra, tomatoes, potatoes, grapes (black, red and green), more apples including Fuji.  He will have Bartlett and Asian pears, and apple cider. Of course, he will have Fruitwood's local honey, honey spreads, bee pollen, and apple butter. 

GOLDEN VALLEY FARMS

Golden Valley will be at the market this week with an array of organic, shade grown, bird-friendly, and Fair Trade coffees and teas.  To pre-order a coffee or if you have a special request for a grind setting, please call 610-719-0232 or email: sales@goldenvalleyfarms.com 

GREAT HARVEST BREAD

Darren is  at the market this week with a selection of his delicious baked goods and breads.

IRONSTONE CREAMERY

Kim will return to the market this week with her artisanal Greek yogurt and yogurt smoothies, as well as her cultured butter from grass fed cows. We will see her biweekly through the season. 

LINDENHOF FARM

Axel is now accepting orders for Thanksgiving turkeys. Only six weeks left....you better hurry! Axel and his family raise them as naturally as possible, outdoors, plenty of grass, local feed, whole wheat and lots of sunshine.  You can order online or come to the market and ask questions and pick up lots of other wonderful farm fresh products.  

This week he is bringing plenty of fresh eggs, fresh chicken, fresh turkey and lots of pork, lamb,  and beef items. New this week will be fresh duck and duck breast and  legs. 

MY HOUSE COOKIES

This week Marie will be bringing pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread and pumpkin scones along with a variety of pies, quiches, cookies and other sweets. To reserve baked goods,  leave a message @ 610-659-7954 or email marie@myhousecookies.com.

NORTH STAR ORCHARD 

Shannon and Alex will be at the market with Hosui and possibly Yoinashi Asian pears. Apples will include Sugar Snap, Florina (aka 'the Bubblegum Apple'), Royalty, and Eclipse. They'll still have lots of Romanesco and cauliflower, plus carrots, beets, kohlrabi, kale, garlic, wheat, and more.

New this week: the dry beans are back! Varieties will vary from week to week, as Lisa and Ike have decided to experiment this year with a number of varieties. This week, they'll likely have 'Calypso' which is a fun-looking black and white bean.

PENNS WOODS WINERY

Cliff will return to the market this Wednesday with his lively, Pennsylvania wines. Cliff is at the market biweekly this season. 

SPOTTED HILL FARM 

Donna will return to the market this week with all of her wonderful soaps, lotions, shampoos, and Beat It Bug! Spray.  She will be at the market monthly through the season.

VERA PASTA

Joe will be bringing  mozzarella and tomato varieties of Roman style pizza . He will also have an assortment of  his fresh pastas, including wild mushroom and sage ravioli, fall squash ravioli and goat cheese, pepperonata and chive ravioli, two kinds of lasagna, plus gnocchi, and regional sauces this week.
