Brick and Brew, a neighborhood gastro pub, opened recently at 2138 Darby Road in Havertown.
It has 12 rotating craft beers on tap and an extensive bottle list. It also offers premium bourbon, whisky and house infusions of spirits including a pepper and garlic infused vodka used in their Bloody Marys.
Among the many unique drinks offered right now is The Gatsby, which is made of Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Chambord, pineapple juice and ginger ale.
Brick and Brew specializes in wood-fired brick oven pizzas, but also has a full-service kitchen that serves items like fried pickles, beer-battered brussel sprouts and a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Read the full menu here.
Havertown residents Mike Kandravi and Tom Kane are two of the restaurant’s owners.
Although Brick and Brew is in the vicinity of three other bars, “We just want to be a little different,” said Michael Parducci, a whisky master by trade who moved to the area from New York City two years ago after getting married. He is part of Brick and Brew’s management team.
They don’t take reservations at Brick and Brew. Weekdays it is open 4 p.m. to close; weekends 11:30 a.m. to close.
