Region's Best Young Musicians to Play HHS

Saturday afternoon's concert at Haverford High School is a great bargain and will feature 109 amazing young musicians.

 

Haverford High School is hosting a regional Orchstral Festival for the best high school orchestral musicians from all over Southeastern Pennsylvnia.  They have been at the school working, learning and playing together since Thursday and will present a public concert on Saturday afternoon.

It is the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Region VI Honors Orchestra concert.  It will be presented Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in auditorium of Haverford High School at 200 Mill Road in Haverford Township.

109 of the top instrumentalists from nearly fifty schools will perform under the direction of Guest Conductor Andre Raphel. Raphel is the Conductor of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra members are selected by audition and teacher reccomendations and come from schools from Center City to Central Bucks County, from Wissahickon to West Chester and everywhere in between. Public, Private and Christian Schools are represented.
