Disney Magic Thrills Fans 'Next Door' Sunday

A lush production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast offers affordable family entertainment Sunday at 2pm.

It's as close to a professional production of a Disney show you'll see outside of Broadway or Orlando, but at prices families can actually afford.

Upper Darby High School's spring musical closes a five show run Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center (part of the high school campus complex) at 601 Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.

With a live orchestra, lush settings, amazing costuming and some of the best young singing and acting talent in the area, this is a family-friendly show that had kids from pre-school through high school and adults cheering on their feet Saturday night.

If you or your kids love Disney this could be a great Sunday afternoon treat. Ticket prices are $9-$11 and are available at the UDPAC.org website or at the door. Tickets are quickly running out, so if you're interested in attending you should probably buy the tickets on line.

Sunday's 2 p.m. matinee is the last chance to see this production which is staged by the same professional creative team that produces Upper Darby Summer Stage productions.

Just as in Summer Stage's children's theater productions, the lead characters come out on stage after the show to sign autogrpahs and pose for photos with young fans.
