The Wiz is a modern twist on the timeless tale of the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy (played by Lexi Livanos) is caught up by a tornado in Kansas, but instead of being blown to a magical kingdom she finds herself in a urban Oz.
Meeting up with the Munchkins, she is sent off to see the Wizard (played by Sara Abo-Harb). Along the way she meets the Scarecrow (played by Emily Moylan), the Tinman,(played by Scott Berkowitz) and the Lion (played by Tristan Horan).
While different in appearance and outlook, all four friends still struggle with the same same needs: to get home; to get a brain; to get a heart; and to find courage. Battling the evil witch, they must work together in order defeat her.
